Saturday football
A couple of crackers on the menu today. Let's not think about tomorrow.

With Eden Hazard looking likely to return for Chelsea and Newcastle coming out of a dismal November, today’s prospects don’t seem to be as rosy as Rafa Benitez may have liked. You’d expect him to adopt a strategy of damage limitation. Home win.

All eyes are on Mo Salah as Liverpool seek to record their fifth win in their last six games. Draw specialists Brighton have surprised many people at the way they’ve stepped back into the top division. A win today will see them take an important step towards their first target of survival. But that might be one ask too much. Away win.

So BFS returns to the union of Premier League managers. There’s little else to say about Everton. Huddersfield have started to look shaky, particularly away. They’re not alone. Home win.

Burnley continue to defy the odds and the critics as they sit above Spurs and just a point behind Liverpool in the table. What happened to the team that just couldn’t win away from home last season? Leicester, meanwhile, have made an encouraging start to life under Claude Puel, who will look for all three points this afternoon. As will Sean Dyche, which should make for an entertaining encounter. Draw.

A game that’s relevant to us, but of little further interest. I suppose we’d want Stoke to win. Home win.

Could be a corker. Watford under Marco Silva have been extraordinary, surpassing all expectations. Spurs are experiencing another wobble. Home win. 😊

Another one with significance for us, but again with little of further interest. Apart from Alan Pardew’s return to management. New manage boost + home advantage = Home win.

ARSENAL vs MAN UTD (1730 ko)
Now then, what do we have here? The latest instalment of the Arsene and Jose love grudge is what, and that always offers the prospect of a little off-topic diversion. There’s also the prospect of a splendid game of football. Home win.

Charlie Austin scores yet again for Southampton.

Remind me, did that cunt Sullivan ever apologise to Charlie for his disgraceful comments about the player's fitness last season?

Brilliant game at the Emirates.
Can't believe Arse couldn't score more than 1
Can't believe BT Sport gave Lingard MOM,did they not see the 14 saves De Gea made?

I watched snippets of every game today and can honestly say every team looks so much faster and fitter than ours.
We're miles behind these teams and it will take a miracle to get out of this shit state that we're in.

Ashley Young has been reborn as a wing back and looks the best we have currently. Keep Rose out hopefully.

How on earth could Pogba complain about that red?
That’s the sort that should be a 6 match ban. And another 3 for his dissent in clapping the decision
Plus one more for the hair
Misses the Man City game. The silly cunt

Couple of bits of West Ham defending by Arsenal early and that was a bit soft by Koscielny for 1-3
In between Man U couldn’t complain if they were 6-3 down
DeGea has made some ridiculous saves

Re: Saturday football
Certainly is Sven. Best game I have seen between 2 "big" clubs in years.

ManUtd resemble us at the moment and probably tomorrow as they just cannot clear it and when they do it goes straight back to L'Arse, United are camped in their own box.

Difference is that United if / when they break look like they could score most times.

If we are only 6 points off by the time we play Bournemouth, Newcastle and Stoke that will be a bonus.

The problem is right now I do not see us beating any of those teams!

Private Dancer 6:52 Sat Dec 2
Re: Saturday football
We will get beat tomorrow but may pull something out of the bag in one of the home games.

I don't think we will be as many as 6 adrift from 17th.

Sven Roeder 6:48 Sat Dec 2
Re: Saturday football
Expect us to be about 6 points from safety by the time we go through City, Chelsea and Arsenal.
Once you get 9 or 10 Pts from safety you are close to fucked as even a stray win never seems to reduce that deficit.

Re: Saturday football
Good set of results for us today with Palace and West Brom drawing and Huddersfield, Brighton, Newcastle & Swansea losing.

Those 6 teams are who we have to keep pace with.
