SPOTY
Every single para-athlete (in each of the 14 classes of disability) is just as important AND high profile as able-bodied world champions.

Never sure why people vote in these things but understand Sir Mohammed got less votes than in 2012 when he lost.
Seemed obvious that it should be Hamilton or Froome for me but not sure people are that keen on either and Froomes drug stuff during the week was ill timed. Not that he’d win anyway being so dull and Kenyan and all.

I’d have voted for Steven Smith myself

I doubt you could just jump in that car and drive it at all let alone fast. It's not your average ford poplar.

i looked up some of the past results

in 1966 scoring a world cup final hat trick wasnt enough to snatch 2nd place from a speedway rider

Re: SPOTY
The BBC is embarrassed by its audience. Preferring the nice, white, heterosexual, male novice to the stroppy, black, dykey, female, professional dancer in a popularity contest for novice dancers is clearly both racist and sexist. And maybe homophobic if she is a lezza (which I don't thin k she is, is she?). And possibly skillsist and horriblist, too.

We should all hang our heads in shame.

BBC have had two examples of public voting this past weekend. Sir Mo scraped home in spoty and good luck to him

In the other event, "Strictly", the public voted counter to the judging panel's assessment. In this second case it had already been decided not to publish the voting figures.

Why so?

I could drive a car... really fast.... I can't run the 10,000m's... really fast or really slow

Re: SPOTY
Not sure about the uproar over it, not as if it hasn't gone to a deserving sportsman, albeit he has had better seasons running than this year.

Girl at work is mortified that Hamilton didn't win it.

Clearly our best ever driver, but ultimately the bloke only drives a car (the best one at that) and has no personality to boot.

Re: SPOTY
Gary LOUGH is Mo FARAH's coach. And he thinks it's bollocks. He got about 25% of the votes that Murray got in the last two years, abd less people voted for him than went to watch Joshua v klitschko, so this show appears to be dying on its arse.

Brown feet on a white Scouser now that is an Image I cannot get out of my mind.

Paula Radcliffe's husband could clearly be seen on TV shaking his head disapprovingly and saying "bollocks" to his wife after the announcement, made me grin.

Enjoy watching this in front of the fire on a Sunday evening before Christmas, cock-ups and all.

Thought the Helen Rollason Award was very well done.

"Although it would have benefited him had he gone to Scouse land".

I doubt it, Hairy, some scouser would have probably nicked his feet.

Re: SPOTY
Well deserved, Mo Farah should have won that award twice already the fact the man could not even get into the top 3 ever after being the greatest Athlete in the past 7 years was stupid and probably why he chose to stay away from the event.
Although it would have benefited him had he gone to Scouse land.
