Bbc reckon Pulis isn’t in the Swansea frame and that they are considering Frank de Boer and Mr Slaven Bilic.
I see Leon Britton is in as caretaker for now.

Re: Swansea Sack Clement
Grzegorz Krychowiak eight appearances for WBA.

Renato Sanches nine appearances for Swansea.

In both cases some of the appearances are as substitutes.

I think that it is fair to say [ although my assumptions might be seen by Alex as "shallow" ] as the midfield's of both those teams are no better and possibly inferior to ours these appearance figures indicate that the two loanees are finding it difficult to establish themselves and as such are performing no better than the players already there.

Which leads me further to feel that Bilic was right to refuse either or both of these players.

Sorry, scratch the two French cups. He didn't feature due to the likes of Verratti, Motta and Matuidi. He's shit.

Re: Swansea Sack Clement
Sanches is young and therefore a punt to some degree.

Krychowiak has played 40 odd times for Poland, won two UEFA cups, been in La Liga team of the season (2015), won a French League Cup and French FA cup.

He may not have played a lot for WBA, but Mascherano didn't play much for us, and we all know how that turned out...

>>> So Alex, by your logic - which I am not twisting at all - Bilic never got *anything* right because he was sacked.

No you are very clearly twisting it. I didn't say he never got anything right, I was disputing the claim that he *was* right not to take the loans offered to him. Obiang and Noble have both been dropped at various times this season, and it's acknowledged as a weak area of the squad (as some of us have been saying for years!). We could have done with the reinforcements. Whether that means Krychowiak or Sanches would have succeeded here I doubt because the club's been a shambles, but I think we'd have been better off with them than without.

>>> And you said that Sanches has been crap at Swansea possibly because they play poor football. Why was he crap at Bayern then?

Maybe because he's not good enough yet for one of the best teams in World football. Not sure Lanzini would get in their team either.

Maybe he was 18 and not ready to be a regular in the team of the PERENNIAL German champions

If I got things wrong there'd be a bunch of people on here waiting to slaughter me for it. Although it's wearing, it keeps me sharp. That's why you can trust that what I do say I have thought carefully about.

Do you literally have an answer for everything, V son?

Do you ever wonder, maybe just maybe, you could be wrong on certain things?

Re: Swansea Sack Clement
"Well he ended up sacked. That's how it worked out for him."

Using that logic, both Clement and Pulis got sacked for taking them on.

*thumbs up to V*

Re: Swansea Sack Clement
Krychowiak has gone from one of the best possession sides in world football to one of the worst. Talk about a culture shock. Wouldn't be surprised if Sanches experienced the same - he would have loved to be in the great Swansea side that played such patient possession football a few years back.

Clement and Pulis brought those players in! Pardew is picking Krychowiak. I don't see how they share your opinion at all!

Re: Swansea Sack Clement
Alex, these two players are no better than what we have [ if that good they would have been snapped up by better teams than [ Swansea and WBA ] and it's dumb to bring in players that are no better than what we already have.

We needed squad improvement not squad augmentation. As for my analysis being shallow then I must have that in common with Clement, Pulis and Pardew.

Alex V 5:12 Thu Dec 21
Re: Swansea Sack Clement
>>> You are missing the point, Alex, that the two players Bilic refused are not holding down first team places in their respective PL clubs they fetched up at.

And that point is, imo, very shallow analysis. Krychowiak has played plenty in a side at a similar level to ours. Is he worse than Obiang or Kouyate for example? On whoscored ratings he is West Brom's second best player this season. He would be 7th in West Ham's squad ahead of Obiang, Kouyate and Noble.

Players have ups and downs in form. I think Krychowiak and Sanchez, in ability, are better than most of our current midfielders. They are prestige players. Not to say that means they are worldbeaters, but judging them by a handful of results at struggling teams is a tiny sample size.
