Some players just don’t seem to cut it in this league, not sure it necessary makes them bad players, ala Zaza.

West Ham looking to sign Inter Milan midfielder Joao Mario on loan

Jason Burt, chief football correspondent

Talks are on-going, with an agreement understood to have been reached between the two clubs over a proposed deal.

However, the Portugal international is weighing up the move with sources suggesting he may have “a number of options” to consider and is asking for time before deciding what to do.

Inter are keen to loan out Joao Mario, who cost them more than €45 million (£39.8m) from Sporting Lisbon - in what was the biggest ever transfer by a Portuguese club - but he has grown frustrated at his lack of playing time.

Joao Mario featured for Portugal during their Euro 2016 triumph and made a move from Sporting to Inter, ahead of a host of other clubs, that summer. The attacking midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United in the past.

Batshuayi is a dreadful footballer. No movement or control. We certainly missed a bullet when he thought he was too good for us a couple of years ago.

I hope Moyes reports back to Sullivan that he would be a complete waste of money.

Maddison of Norwich is the man to sign. He's always looked good when I've seen him.

Re: The transfer window thread
IF the board try to use FFP as an excuse to sign no one then I’d like hem to have a word with Everton because I cannot see how they’ve managed to sign so many players and only get rid of one without breaking those rules - perhaps they can explain how to do it to the daves so they can stop using it as an excuse

Re: The transfer window thread
Moyes is at the Chelsea game tonight, most will think he's taking a look at Batshauyi, however we all know that Sullivan has probably briefed him to look at some cunt in the Norwich side

Re: The transfer window thread
"Mario is said to be only ‘averagely’ interested in playing under David Moyes" ha ha! Not surprising really.

I'm of the opinion that the Sullivan wallet was trousered 3 seconds after we beat Huddersfield not to be seen again until summer. Shit loans only this window.

Carroll and Sakho have only got just over 14 days to get fit enough to pass some other clubs medicals.
It will be a miracle if that happens.

I am actually pleased to hear nothing but denials from our side of the fence
Provided we have the requisite buys by the end of the process, after which I expect plenty of chirping
Being saying to my lad for a while that I think we will be rather more active than initially imagined, specifically on the outbounds
Time will tell .....

Joao Mario knocked Watford back a couple of days ago. Don't blame him if he thought he was going to Old Trafford

'Mario is said to be only averagely interested in playing under David Moyes.'

That story certainly sounds plausible!
