Also for anyone watching keep an eye on Barcelona's number 21 Andre Gomes, he is looking for a move and were linked with him.

Re: The transfer window thread
I love the way some of our fans want the board to just get rid of our own players for the first bid we receive but yet expect us also to pay top wack for other clubs players.

I would really be concerned if some of you ran your own businesses.

Spurs are also interested among others so we’ll need to act quickly, something were not that good at.

Apart from Moyes am I the only sad bastard watching the Betis Barca game to see what this Fabián (6) chap of Betis is like ?

21, 6ft plus, Spain u21, right sided midfielder with a buyout clause of 15 million euros. Sounds apart perfect to me.

Re: The transfer window thread
I only hope you’re right Stepney, because otherwise If there was ever a case for cutting your losses then Ayew is it.

Ayew swap / plus cash for Mawson sounds like a deal with looking at too.

Re: The transfer window thread
Stepney, 100% agree. There’s enough to slag the club off for but turning down a bid from a relegation rival isn’t one of them. We should not be selling anyone until we’ve first strengthened our own squad.

Re: The transfer window thread
Also is this the same Swansea that said it would take 50m to get Alfie Mawson off them? Laughable.

Tell them that's the price for Ayew.

stepney hammer 9:21 Sun Jan 21
Re: The transfer window thread
It's not penny pinching, for me it makes sense. Swansea are languishing at the bottom of the league. If they think Ayew is a player that will help them stay up they'll pay the asking price.

Were not desperate to sell, but they however are in a desperate situation and we should exploit that.

Very rarely does a club accept the opening offer for a player anyway.

nychammer 9:09 Sun Jan 21
Re: The transfer window thread
Seems the Ayew rumors have credibility but wat ham are holding out for 20M instead of 14.

Seriously, if they’re not Penny pinching on buying players they’re penny pinching on selling them. We fucked up buying Ayew and that’s the price we have to pay. 14M is good business and allows us to get someone in that we really need. Nobody else is gonna to come close to offering that much so just sell him!

That’s of course assuming we really do have some Transfer targets in mind....

Sky are just making things up now.

Wait until Jim White gets in the chair on deadline day. The bullshit is only going to get worse.

Re: The transfer window thread
If we had signed a couple earlier then we may have been able to rest say Lanzini in the week instead of flogging him for 120 mins against lower league oppo.
He may not then have then got injured yesterday, we may have had another player or two to add to the weak squad we had yesterday and may have won the game and been higher up the table further away from danger.
Yes all ifs and buts and I appreciate the difficulties, but surely that would have been more practical and the plan. Why are we still scouting players now when this could have been done weeks ago or even before the window opened?
Whilst we are faffing about with Sullivan as usual seemingly trying to spend fuck all we are losing points and flogging the few decent fit players we have. As usual it's penny wise pound foolish with them.

Re: The transfer window thread
And that is why you live in a rat infested hovel and Sullivan is a multi millionaire

Re: The transfer window thread
Don't believe the sky sources bullshit.

They were saying a fee was agreed with Palace for Sakho the other week and he was in talks with them. Turns out Roy Hodgson doesn't even rate him and there were no talks.

Rennes wouldn't be bidding 10 million for that oddball.

Rumors are that Swansea have bid 14M for Ayew.

AND WE HAVE TURNED IT DOWN !

Clement Grenier, ffs. Once highly rated, but hasn't been a first team pick for about 5 years.

Wouldn't surprise me actually...
