Blackfriars to Paddington advice
Flying into Gatwick in March and I need to get to Paddington for train to Bristol, I usually go to Victoria and get the tube.

Booking through the GWR.com in advance you get some big discounts but have to use the service specified and it’s giving me a route but changing at Blackfriars that is considerably cheaper than going via Victoria? But it’s giving me a connection time of 3 minuets, now not that familiar with Blackfriars so is that even possible? Its also saying the tube will take 31 mins to Paddington, been a few years but surely this is a mistake???

Arrive Blackfriars 9.10am, have to depart Paddington at 10am

Cheezey,
All the thameslink trains that go through Blackfriars go on via St Pancras. Or maybe the odd one or two at rush hour terminate there. Anyway change at Farringdon for the circle line. Much quicker than changing at St Pancras.
Thameslink runs all through the night btw

You could change to a Thameslink train at Blackfriars and go on to Kings Cross, then take the Circle to Paddington. Your train from LGW might go there anyway. Some of them go up to Bedford I think.

If you can get the coach from Gatwick that sounds a lot easier. 90 mins is fuck all.

I could get the coach and its cheaper, but i also have to hang around Gatwick for an hour and a half waiting and i fucking hate National express coaches.

Much rather get the train, always enjoy a rail journey, more comfortable and see a bit of scenery rather than just the M4.

Do you have to go by train?
You can get a coach direct for about £10
