Is there LESS news these days?
I'm sure that less than only 5 years ago the main news(paper) websites would update almost by the minute - now on some sites, even the "front page" has articles up to a week or so old.

Have things just stopped happening in the world?

Re: Is there LESS news these days?
Seems that most media, particularly the BBC have been consumed with Brexit and Trump and have lost the "art" of reporting news as to them nothing else matters.
The quality of non Brexit material on the BBC TV news is quite shocking. How they prioritise their stories as well, it beggars belief.

Re: Is there LESS news these days?
I'm sure there is a similar amount of news, but it probably seems less as various broadcasters and other media outlets, desperately try to fill their 24 hour coverage with it.

The repetition is staggering as is the quantity of broadcasters 'reporting live' from somewhere, waffling like mad, trying to fill the time as nothing is happening.

A couple of half hour slots a day is usually more than enough.

All of the politicians and most of the media are on holiday.
Like every year
If there is a TSUNAMI ,Big Ben is blown up or Bobby Madley is torn to pieces by a pack of ravenous wolves I’m sure we will hear about it.

Relax it's New years day, what do you want to know?,
Currently An Orange man with the IQ of a fish is the most powerful man in the world.
Depending on your political leanings Theresa May the British Prime Minister is either a European loving witch or a softy who has allowed UKIP and the crazy right of the Tory party to lead her to the dark side or to the dreaded No deal, which means we will all be eating pavement and bricks in 2020.
Oh and West ham are pretty shit which is hardly news it has just been The Gospel since 1980.
