Re: 2018 Movies
Watched Bohemian Rhapsody last night, thought it was excellent, two hours of pure entertainment! Against my better judgement watched Little Drummer Girl later, one hour of utter, pretentious shite!

Not a movie, but I can't be arsed starting a new thread that will probably splat.
Anyone watch It's always sunny in Philadelphia? Series 13 just finished, with one of the most unexpected endings to a comedy tv shows ever. Beautifully done, and Danny DeVito doing some fine reaction acting.
If you haven't watched any of it, 12 series are on Netflix and its fucking hilarious.

Yeah both Mission impossible: Fallout and The Meg are good action fun.

Watched Mission impossible: Fallout on a plane the other day - what a proper action film that is. Really enjoyed it, and there’s a death at the end that is a real “Fucking OUCH!” moment

Also watched The Meg, which is right up there in the ‘so bad it’s good’ bracket

Re: 2018 Movies
People who profess to hating queen are trying a bit too hard to prove they're not gay, in my opinion.

"Oh and the bloke who plays Brian May. Absolutely uncanny."

I did a doubletake when I saw the trailer, he nailed that

Re: 2018 Movies
Yes he was excellent.

I also though Robert Duvall was fantastic. Gave the film some gravitas. Either could be a bit as best supporting actor. The black woman lead will definitely be nominated.

Re: 2018 Movies
He's been recognised as an excellent actor since starring in Black Mirror some 7 years ago 93.

Re: 2018 Movies
Saw Widows last night, some great performances.. but in particular I really liked Daniel Kaluuya. He was menacing but believable, he has all of a sudden popped up as a very good actor in the last year or so.

Movie itself dragged in places and there are some obvious absolute nods towards how the director obviously feels about the current state of America. Which was a bit of an eye roll moment.

There was also some great twists throughout which I won't spoil here but overall an okay movie, those twists in particular making the movie better.

7/10.
