"liberal order"

Are these the liberal progressives I hear so much about?

The anti-Trumpers are pro-staters and people with a stake in making sure some self-serving cunts don't fuck things up for them and their kids, mimmler.

We are not playing the blame game - that's your hobby-horse because your the one with the grudge against the liberal order.

Or can't you even own up to that now?

Beg your pardon but I'm not aware I'm blaming anyone for anything, it's the anti Trumpers who are doing all the blaming, in this case the results of the election on some massive Russian conspiracy.

As for bullying, i have absolutely no idea what you're referring to. Please enlighten me?

Yes mate but whether the attempt succeeded is different from whether the attempt was made at all.

MIM seems to be arguing about the latter.

"and the GOP launches an all out attack on the fbi to undermine an investigation into the attack".

The only conclusion you can draw from the ongoing attack is that quite a few of the GOP are implicated. That great 'recuser' Devin Nunes would be top of my list for an investigation.

The only question is where does it end?

Re: Fusion GPS testimony on Trump released

While I was never a fan of Clinton, many of the perceptions of her were formed after 30 years of smear campaign.

The coronation in the primaries should never happened. In 2008 a better candidate came through the process. That should have happened in 2016.

But there is no equivalence here on the rancid nature of the political process.

The is system is horrifically corrupt and while you can certainly find examples,of corruption from the democrats, it has become an integral part of the right.

Take citizens united. Then add to that the ridiculous, illegal gerrymandering, then add to it the attempts at voter suppression.

Then you take what is happening here. The Russians launch ‘Information Warfare’ on the US, and the GOP launches an all out attack on the fbi to undermine an investigation into the attack.

A friend of mine works for Booz Allen and builds war games at General/Admiral level for US Special Forces; they game scenarios based on the latest intelligence and a variety of what ifs.

In conversation with senior SF personnel several commented that Trump was so stupid/naive/arrogant they predicted he'd be assassinated because he'd not listen to the people employed to protect him.

On that basis of having so little regard for the people employed to keep him safe, why would he think he was immune to anything else?

The 2016 candidates were the worst possible. The choice was stomach cancer or pancreatic cancer, it was that bad. I have little interest in politics and wanted to vote for the Republicans because i felt that after 8 years of Democratic rule a change was needed to redress the balance.

In the end I voted for Clinton, because Trump has no values and I want my son to respect ethnicity, religion, the truth, women and life........I could go on, but you get the picture.

The basic values in life are evaporating under Trump and the GOP. My son describes the discussions he and his mates have at school.....Trump is ridiculed. Trump said nothing about guns and safety, and we have here the ridiculous situation where there are armed Police roaming the corridors a a school.

Is nothing sacred, apart from where Trump's next fuck is coming from?

And while it is clear that Trump was colluding, even if we imagine that the manifold connections with Russia are mere coincidences, let’s look at what happened here.

We can assume Trump was informed of many of the details of these indictments by the reports of the combined intelligence agencies.

He then went on to obstruct the official investigation into this by firing Comey, and admitted it was the ‘Russian thing’ in a tv interview. He joked about firing the man in charge of the investigation and head of US counter espionage with Kislyak and Lavrov in the Oval Office the following day.

How would this not be obstruction of justice?

Re: Fusion GPS testimony on Trump released

I’m assuming you’ve seen how the ‘victims’ here treat others. I more consider it giving them a little of their own medicine.

But it does likely annoy me more than it should, basically because it is the kind of stupidity we see here is exactly what got trump elected. It is the kind of stupidity and right wing messaging that puts both your kids and mine at risk from the latest school shooting.

I get called a leftie on the time on here, but I’m not particularly. I just think a good chunk right has descended into a sphere of complete irrationality where they have been convinced to ignore facts and reality.

Re: Fusion GPS testimony on Trump released

Again Hermit. Please read the indictment. It is not 13 people. They are just the ringleaders and the named Russians. It talks about employing hundreds of people, including 80 translators and outlines what they were doing.

And it absolutely is a smoking gun. It won’t be the final set of indictments, or possibly even the most significant - but it does outline the start of the conspiracy case and lays down an underlying criminal act that forms a significamt piece of the overall investigation.

It is much easier to build a case of obstruction if you know what the underlying crime was. That is ultimately where this will end up.

Re: Fusion GPS testimony on Trump released
There are two reasons Trump won, but one is far more important than the other.

I challenge any of the pro-Trumpers on here to identify that key important reason.

"Trump supporters are strange. Lots of noise, lots of aggression and plenty of deflection and blame game,"

You're having a flipping laugh aren't you?

All of the aggression and anger on this thread and the world in general has come from the anti-Trumpers, who have spent the last year blaming literally everyone and everything for the fact he won.

There should be no quarter given to anyone. I'm of the opinion that the entire US political system is rancid, down to the media trying to influence the outcome of elections and the likes of the NRA bribing senators in order to buy votes.

I say investigate the shit out of the whole lot...democrat or republican, and if you have to rebuild he house then so be it.

I'm not interested in gloating or bullying posters on here. I think it's cowardly on an anonymous forum and it shouldn't happen.

With that said, the chickens have come home to roost, and this is only going to get worse for Trump and his supporters, not better. It's a case of how many are dragged into this, not 'if' anymore. It's also worth noting that Mueller has now covered multiple issues; collusion or conspiracy was considered to be the main goal, but I think, between Schneiderman and Mueller, the spectrum covers multiple criminal charges.

Trump supporters are strange. Lots of noise, lots of aggression and plenty of deflection and blame game, but when it goes tits up they either disappear, become very selective or repeat he same old crap over and over in the hope it will go away.

Louise Mensche has covered this fiasco for some time, and she has been accurate about everything. With Trump and family caught on tape by incidental collection via a legal FISA warant they are in desperate legal trouble.

It seems obvious to me that Russia tried to influence the democratic primary and the presidential election. I don’t support it, but it comes as no surprise. The only really important thing for me is whether Bernie or Trump colluded with them. 13 trolls on Twitter is hardly the smoking gun you seem to think it is.

I think the way the US are investigating it is good. I only wish we had done the same when Obama tried to influence our referendum. It would have been good to see if he had colluded with Cameron and the EU before he intervened.

Lastly, whilst there’s ABSOLUTELY NO evidence that Trump rigged an election, there is incontrovertible evidence that the DNC rigged the primaries in Hillary’s favour.

There’s just one more thing. If illegal Russian immigrants are arrested for trolling twitter before the election that’s all well and good. Presumably any illegal Mexican immigrant who ever tweeted against Trump should also be locked up?
