Marko and Manu - new WHU Cottee & McAvennie
developing fantastically. If it was Moyes' vision then hates of to him.

They won't get anywhere near 54 between them in a season.

I actually thought he was trying to cross the ball with the rabona, but just got it wrong

arnautovic seems to have grown in stature over the past couple of months. He now looks physically bigger and stronger than the defenders he is up against.

Hope we can keep Lanzini and build our attack around him Arnie, certainly something is starting to flourish. Who’d have thought Hernández would struggle to get on a west ham side!

Re: Marko and Manu - new WHU Cottee & McAvennie
Arnautovic to me was always a Zlatan type player, with a bit of TLC he'll even develop at West Ham and become an actual Zlatan player. Love the way he & Lanzini release the ball quickly for each other (apart from Lanzini's rabona nonsense yday). They could easily hit 10-15 goals per season mark each if we keep these too next few years.
Now to get Antonio back firing

Re: Marko and Manu - new WHU Cottee & McAvennie
Our best performance for some time, but we're West Ham so there must always be a cloud to any silver lining. Why can't our two most talented players get on with each other? When you see Kane, Ali, Son and Eriksen all hugging each other each time one of them scores, it's obvious what team spirit does for a team's consistency.

Re: Marko and Manu - new WHU Cottee & McAvennie
Lanzini's attempted "rabona" (when he should have squared for Arnie) was LOLsome - if we hadn't won, I'd be FUMING!

The two clearly aren't best mates, and - who'd have thought it - Marko looks more like the team player right now. But between them, they won us this game in some style. So "hates" off to the "new Cottee and Frankie" (ahem) / Little & Large.

Does this make Sakho and Carroll the new Abou/Hartson?

Iron
That’s the way I look at it.
When you see good players together they go to another level as they have the intelligence and skill to combine.
My thought as well is to imagine them with two central midfielders on the same wavelength and ability.

Re: Marko and Manu - new WHU Cottee & McAvennie
45 mins is a long time in football... at half time yesterday the match thread was full of calls for Lanzini to be hauled off in wails of disgust, now it's all 'Manu'...

Re: Marko and Manu - new WHU Cottee & McAvennie
If Antonio can get back his fitness and form, then a frontline of Arnie, Manu and Antonio could be lethal. Stick a couple of better midfielders behind them and we could have a team who can beat anyone.

Re: Marko and Manu - new WHU Cottee & McAvennie
Remember when this was said about Sakho and (honestly struggled for a second to remember his name) Valencia?

Had a great record together for longer than the current duo.

In other words, they look very good together but check the reins a bit, cowboy.

That all said, it is great to have a positive overreaction for once.

Didn't rate Arnautovic...but Moyes has got the best out of him...fair for to both...
Always rated Lanzini...and he is progressing well...

Fits well with Arnautovic...
Keep it up...we need more 15+ points for safety...

Re: Marko and Manu - new WHU Cottee & McAvennie
For me a suspicion of a foul by Arnie on the Hull defender, sort of dragged him down thus creating the opening for Lanzini, very canny play I also think he was pissed of by Lanzini trying that daft Rabona when Arnie was unmarked in the box

Re: Marko and Manu - new WHU Cottee & McAvennie
Is it me, or does the body language between Lanzini and Arnie not look great?

Didn’t see Marko go and congratulate Manu on either of his goals. Hopefully, just the telly coverage.

Re: Marko and Manu - new WHU Cottee & McAvennie
Arnautovic wasn't that happy that Lanzini got the fourth - obviously thought he was fouled*, thus preventing him from getting it himself.

*He probably was

Can anyone imagine Payet, Lanzini and Arnautovic together...?
