The 2018 Australian Open
... starts tomorrow

in the mens, DIMITROV looks to follow his London O2 win with another big title. Can he beat Federer ?

in the womens, Russia have a couple of excellent 20 year olds coming through in Kasatkina and Vikhlyantseva. But im going with HALEP to finally take a grand slam.

On general play CILIC seems to be on top but FEDERER manages to break for 2-0 in the 5th set.
These are the first two sets Federer has lost in the tournament so hasn't been to five sets for a while.

HawkEye doing its job after two atrocious linesman calls. All done in 30 secs UNLIKE VAR

I thought Cilic was value @ 7/2. Didn't bite. 1-1 at mo.

As much as I admire Fed I wouldn't mind seeing him lose.

Re: The 2018 Australian Open
The Federer semi final was curtailed by injury with only one set decided
And Cilic won in straight sets .... 3 of them .... which happens. Particularly in a tournament where Murray , Djokovic and Nadal were absent or obviously not 100% fit

I'm still in favour of one tournament ... men , women and (* insert any other sexual identification*) . Best of 5 sets , winner takes both pots of prize money

...it was an exciting match that lasted longer than either of the mens semi finals

Easy day for Federer with the Korean ducking out early
Hard to see past another title for him. Probably one of his easiest with all the rivals falling by the wayside

Born in Jo'burg actually

Great win
Big opportunity for many players with Murray , Nishikori missing and others struggling with injury and he has taken it
