Saturday football (FA Cup 4th Round)
It’s 4th Round day and many of the earlier banana skins have dreamed, played, lost and become compost. But there are still some that need to be negotiated today, not least at the DW Stadium.

PETERBOROUGH UNITED vs LEICESTER CITY (1230 ko)
"I don't want to die wondering, I want us to be brave and positive," says former Hammer and Posh boss, Grant McCann. That’s the spirit! And should make for an entertaining game, particularly if they can keep the Foxes at bay for a while. Away win.

HUDDERSFIELD TOWN vs BIRMINGHAM CITY
Probably not quite the game that David Wagner would want at this stage of the season. But a win would give the home team a sense of optimism they can carry into their league games. Home win.

MIDDLESBROUGH vs BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION
The same applies to Chris Hughton, who will want to get this done and dusted with the minimum of fuss. This is the first time these teams have played each other in the FA Cup since 1906, when the tie went to two replays before Boro went through. Draw.

NOTTS COUNTY vs SWANSEA CITY
There’s a theme developing here. A win for the Swans would boost all-round confidence, while the effects of a defeat will certainly be carried through to their league form. Away win.

WIGAN ATHLETIC vs WEST HAM UNITED
Wigan are top of League One and not to be underestimated – particularly after we only scraped through against their fellow League One promotion hopefuls, Shrewsbury. Wigan will be buoyed by the 3-0 win over Bournemouth 10 days ago, and a 7-0 Christmas win at Oxford shows what they’re capable of. Injuries make it likely that we’ll see some less familiar faces in the starting line-up, but Andre Ayew looks set to lead the line. “I imagine there will be plenty of goals in the game,” said Wigan boss, Paul Cook. Dream on, laddie, there won’t be much in this. Away win.

NEWPORT COUNTY vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR (1730 ko)
Newport sit just outside the play-off places in League Two and you have to wonder if they’d trade promotion for a win today? There’s plenty of fighting talk in South Wales ahead of this game and it won’t be just Newport celebrating if they do manage to pull off a monumental upset. Away win.

I think VAR is a good idea but too many decisions being referred make the game too much like Rugby or Cricket especially when the fans at the games have no idea what is going on due to the screens not showing the action.

I think both team's should have one appeal each per match to refer to VAR.

Just cracked open my third can on the c2c to London.

You know it's bad and your club is in a shit state when you have 1st division Wigan away in the cup and they're the favourites to win!!

Make the most of the day out and hope we turn up on the pitch.

"The best we can hope for today is a 0-0."

Where do I book one of your motivational speaker seminars?

The best we can hope for today is a 0-0.

I fully expect there to be 5000 very pissed off Londoners in Wigan come 5pm.
