Stand up if you hate the board!

How much of the stadium would join in singing that?

A few minutes of that followed by 'Turn around if you hate the board' would look good on tv if 50,000 joined in. West Ham's own Poznan.

Re: Flags in the ground

Or, if there were so many of the crowd rejecting the board that they were literally unable to address all the flags and banners - like a pre determined time when the flags were being outed and the whole fucking bowl just displayed a singular message, would make great tv

That's a good idea, pick a time and everyone gets their banners out, I like it.
Or maybe play a game who can get a banner nearest to the directors box.

Crassus - I think it really needs a fucking hiding being dished out to the stewards at the LS. Utter cunts from my admittedly limited experience of it. I sincerely hope it happens because it will send out a message to them and the club.

Re: Flags in the ground
Why doesn't everyone just calmly walk onto the pitch and sit down on the 6th minute and get the match abandoned.

Isn't it a perfectly legitimate expectation to be able to see the game, instead of having to 'admire' someone's flag for 90 minutes?

I can see it coming mate, would be interesting to see how a handful of stewards would respond to a resolute group of lads who had not initiated any grief

Re: Flags in the ground
If the protests get into the ground then there's bound to be confrontation with the stewards. The best possible thing would be them getting fronted up and done over if necessary. I do realise that in the age of high resolution cctv that's a big ask.

Fo

Funny thing about those times was the common mantra of West Ham of old would not of have stood for this shit

Fuck me, imagine that lot seeing what we are today?

Although, like you, some of them have and acted accordingly - my only hope is that the spirit lives on as it did that day when the whole ground kicked off

If the lads can't galvanise the current lot, then it will really be all over for so many of us

Crass - fuck me mate I remember that very well. My mate ended up with the copper's helmet in his hands and just looked at me grinning as if to say 'what the fuck am I supposed to do with this?'

Along with the 1991 FC cup semi, the Bond Scheme days really were, for me, the essence of what being West Ham was all about. The best of times, the worst of times and a million and one fucking miles from the sorry experience today.

Got to say though, once again there seems to be something in the air thanks to the RWHF intervention...

Are we still talking about flags?

AT

Sad story that mate, really beginning to hate what the whole thing has become

Remember back in the day, anti bond thing getting lively and at a home game things just escalated in spontaneous hate - young copper tried to nick someone singlehanded in the Run South Bank end. Went toward the barrier and tried to haul someone over, cue the deep gutral surge and the loss of his helmet, batted about like a beach ball, a few of his mates rushed over and the ground went berserk, stewards scarpering and pensive plod everywhere. A senior plod tipped up pitch side and called them off, then had a word, looked like a thorough bollocking, to the yoot copper for trying to play the big boy in a mans environment

That poor old lady, would never had happened when we were what we were, and where we should be

Re: Flags in the ground
Last season there was a lady sitting near us who must have been in her 70's. Every week she put a flag out at the top of the stairs. One week one of the plastics complained that they couldn't see. Stewards tip up and order the old dear to take it down. Big row so mob handed they remove it. The old lady, god bless her, isn't in that seat anymore. THIS IS JUST ONE REASON I WILL FUCKING MARCH!

Not since gavros and 13 BR stopped going.

Oh "Flags" sorry, my mistake.

Re: FLAGS IN THE GROUND.
They can be taken down and you can be removed from the ground if the banner/flag has a message on it which is deemed to be "offensive". Anti Board flags are deemed to be offensive so at a home game you're going to get grief from stadium stewards.

Away games it should be fine but WHU Stewards have been popping up at a few different grounds this season so i would imagine they will continue to do what they are doing at home games and take them down and eject you from the ground.

The stadium owners and the board don’t need grounds they hate us and as far as they are concerned the sooner we are gone the better

Re: FLAGS IN THE GROUND.
I've seen the stewards take a flag or two they've been told to. They don't remove 'usual' supporters flags though- as long as they are not over the electronic advertising signs.

If you can get it in, then you'll be able to put it up for a time, but if it's anti-board they will take it from you when it's spotted, I'd imagine. They'll surely be on the look out...

on what grounds would they confiscate them ?
Obscuring peoples views ?
If so, just get them out at half time and full time

Re: FLAGS IN THE GROUND.
They aren't going to stand for any flags in the bowl? Surely the stewards are going to be asked to get these removed as soon as its pulled out?

Think away is the only way for now?

Re: FLAGS IN THE GROUND.
Won't they just grab it off you and/or kick you out?
