Really? What did Hairy do poetry about the imbecilic, murdering Turkish scamp? Butchering Armenian children?

I liked Texas's stuff. Did it start with Trump and something about Trumpitty Trump from the circus? Sublime.

Texas did it before Hairy, but Hairy did it too, unless I'm mistaken

Wasn't the poetry Texas? Marvellous stuff, I miss it. I would imagine he could do some cracking 'Board Out' songs.

Re: 100 years of women voting
Leave Hairy's comedy alone.

He might go back to his poetry, and that's even worse.

I once had to make a big decision to either allow the wife to go and vote for the Conservative party in the general election or make me my dinner, so I decided to shoot her.

I remember Thatcher was getting the country on its feet in the mid eighties so I told the wife to go out and vote for the Tasty Tory, when she returned she handed me a Kinder Egg.

Giving the wife a clue before we left the house to vote I said "You know what love Labour is the best way to go", she replied "I told you two kids is all you are getting".

I once took my wife to a voting booth and when she came out she asked where the spray button was for the caramel tan.

Re: 100 years of women voting
The suffragettes have been given a wonderful airbrushing by the right on historians.

They were terrorists who would have got the vote sooner but for their acts of bombing.

They send letter bombs to people, they blew up buildings and it was only thanks to a policeman who defused a bomb that innocent people weren’t maimed in a London Street.

They were the first group to plant bombs in Ireland and the main aim was to get votes for the wealthy women, they had no interest in the working classes.

At the time of their terrorism 60% of men also couldn’t vote.

All their terrorism did was get the vote for women over 39 who had property, big deal!

Now they want to erect a statue of Pankhurst, what next one for Gerry Adams.

Feminist bullshit.

I found the article you were working off, I think. The whole "voting in ruling councils" in an interesting claim. There were Natives councils in Alberta doing that since before their contact with Europeans (I only mentioned the ones I know off hand.) But they had not influence on the voting of the country, when it was a country.

The States is an interesting one because in the case of states, it is not just voting to govern themselves, unlike the modern UK and maybe New Zealand, the states have the right to set the rules for federal voting. So their votes essentially counted in elections for the whole country.

But most of it is semantics.
