We won today so why such a flat feeling on WHO
Usually 400 posts on the match thread around now especially when we lose but today only 170, so are we becoming sad misery merchants only happy when we do badly?.
I know the chairmen deserve absolute vitriol and hate for their terrible January transfer window and I 100% support the march against them whatever happens, but I for one am very happy tonight, looks like a few players back from injury has steadied the rot, and a cousin told me that even Hugill looked good for the few minutes he came on for.
We should never lose sight of what the team and club mean to us maybe I am the only one picking this vibe up?

I can't help but be reminded of the same fixture in 2016.

That was possibly one of the worst games I have ever been to in terms of having an early good mood, which was then extracted and kicked to death..

It's because we have owners who stripped the club of it's history and don't give a shit.

Just back from the game and thought we were excellent in the first half.

I was buzzing after seeing my 1st win live since we beat Hull in December 2016 which is 6 matches.

There will be a few who will be disappointed we have won but fuck them.

We could win the next 6 games on the bounce & some posters would still be moaning & criticising!

Delighted with 3 more points towards safety after a nerve wracking win

There are some tough games ahead but 2 wins & 2 draws should see us struggle over the line to safety at the end of a forgettable season

Then we can look forward to another summer of broken promises

Great!

Like I said in the other thread, I think everyone is just breathing a sigh of relief that we managed to win a winnable home game that we simply had to win.

This club has made things very hard for itself over the last year or so. Poor decisions in the transfer market, ongoing stadium issues and dithering over Bilic have shone through in another massively disappointing season. It’s hugely frustrating and when it all too predictably comes home to roost in poor performances and results and it’s only natural that fans want to vent. I anyway think that poor displays and bad results tend to provoke more negativity than winning a game we’d normally expect to win gets in positive reaction.

Unfortunately this site over the last few years has been taken over by “ supporters “ who are only happy when we lose.

It’s a real shame as this site use to be a good laugh but now it’s full of bitter people.

Expect a barrage of abuse.

I agree mate but what you've said won't go down well with some on here.

Drunk my pint of Amstel and thought about returning to my seat which was getting wet. I thought fuck it and the four of us left without going up for the second half.

The only reason to go these days is to see my mates and have a beer. On a cold wet day vs Watford the soulless bowl just isn’t enough to keep my interest.

Nothing against the team, they did ok in the first half and although some days I can tolerate that stadium others I just can’t.

My season ticket is in a better place than last season but my Mum and Dads seats are much better and I think that makes a difference.

Still a decent turn out, decent performance, good support and a much needed result. I just think the general feeling towards the club and how we have been taken for absolute mugs still cuts pretty deep which effects the mood.

Hairy, it was a good result , unfortunately the site isn't what it use to be .too much politics , too much instore fighting , too much girly sniping ,but if it's any consolation I'm pleased with the result, I like Moyes. If only we could have a fit squad and the owners deliver what they promise, I'd love to see moyes do well and stick a finger up at man u . Keep the faith Hairy.

I enjoyed it today. I think it's starting to feel like West Ham's home ground. A little bit. Good performance, deserved win, all in all a smashing match of association football.
Even the trek back to Stratford underground seems to be better organised.

We won without hitting any heights.

Last week we lost and plumbed the depths.

So you're comparing an abysmal performance with an OK one.

People get excited about brilliant and shit, not about OK.

Hate the phrase but ‘meh’

If people think a win today fucks up the March of then they can fuck off. The players knew today (arnie for one) knew we were behind them all the way. Win aside, it was shit. As ever. Cold wet sorry walk to a cold wet soulless bowl. It’s shit. Great result but it’s shit. Should have done my research but hackney wick was closed so fucked journey back. World class transport links meant I sat on my own as great Anglia is still fucked. Apathy is the word. Win lose or draw
