West Ham Top of the Table
Well now its official we have had the most injuries with 41 throughout the 2017-2018 season. With Brighton having the least with only 14 but significantly Man City have had only 16. Those medical men earn their salary at our club though. Could have been a different season, maybe, if we hadn't had so many. Maybe. Report is below

Down to the bare bones for sure. The West Ham Way. Too many African witchdoctors, players too old, final paycheque, shit scouts, mugged off, lazy training shambles of a club mired in mayhem. Anything else?

Re: West Ham Top of the Table
We have had some shocking runs with injuries but I am sure a lot of other clubs would say the same thing. As others have said we have not help ourselves down the years by taking risks on injury prone or older players but I have never been convinced by the argument that it is something to do with the way we train. Under Bilic I thought the accusation was that training was too soft?

Re: West Ham Top of the Table
Not sure how useful this data is. 41 dead legs, wouldn't be the same as one cruciate for example. I can't access the link at work but does it show total number of days out? is it first teams only?

I always find breakdowns of the types of injuries more telling and when they occurred....we've definitely had a problem at our training facilities for quite a while now....hard soil was blamed by Curbs wasn't it?!

We aren't doing too bad on physioroom at the moment... only 8th.

Palace have loads out.

At least we didn't get Sturridge in... I see he pulled a hamstring in the 3rd minute. Smacks of lack of warm up and preparation which, to be fair, is par for the course with him.

This should not come as a surprise to any Hammers fan, been the same for years.

Would help if we didn't sign injured players but what the hell do we do with the rest in training. If Sullivan really is looking at changing the recruitment policy then he should investigate injuries as well.

Don't we always to this one?

Not sure if I agree with the "our medical staff earn their money" comment or if it's the polar opposite

I'm hoping with Sakho and (hopefully) Carroll gone, and a decent preseason behind us, then next season might be a bit different.

Re: West Ham Top of the Table
I am sure that a Pareto analysis will show that 80% of injury absences are down to 20% of our playing squad.

Not recruiting injury prone players would be a start. That’s why Welbeck would not be a good idea.

Re: West Ham Top of the Table
How can one squad have 41 and one just 14. Dont make sense to me. Season after season it happens.
