Maths question
Bet stars are offering £100 million for predicting the W, L, D, result of every World Cup game.

With 64 ties to be played how many would need to be in a syndicate to cover every possible outcome?

Re: Maths question
Those 16 games in the knockout stages still have 3 possible outcomes with betting on football matches normally based on 90 minutes plus injury time.

Cover ourselves and do it each way

Re: Maths question
Actually that is not correct as there are not 64 games with three potential outcomes.
There are 48 games with three outcomes (W,L,D) and 16 with two outcomes (W,L) in the knockout stages.
So if they want the results not the score at end of normal time the calculation is (3^48)*(2^16)

or 5.22757*10E27

Hope that helps.

Re: Maths question
Women are statistically better at multitasking than men, which doesn't mean that all women are better than all men at it.

Also, men tend to believe this when it comes to, say, ironing and fellatio, but not when it comes to steering a car and keeping an eye on the traffic.

Re: Maths question
Rachel Riley is really very good at maths so perhaps whilst she is fellating pikey she could be multi tasking [ because that's waht women are better then men at........alledgedly ] and working out the shade of odds required.

Re: Maths question
The plan to form a syndicate to cover all possible outcomes or the plan to get Rachel Riley to suck geoffpikey's cock?

Either plan is likely to be in tatters I suppose

There's a better chance of Rachel Riley sucking my cock until I finish reciting the number Pi.

A Sagan

As a humorous tribute to Carl Sagan and his association with the catchphrase "billions and billions", a sagan has been defined as a unit of measurement equivalent to a very large number – technically at least four billion (two billion plus two billion) – of anything.

Changed my mind - the last slot's bound to have the Final down as a draw/
