"5 trillian quid go through"
I'll let that sink in, as opposed to a penny of those trillions.

Could it be, having grown old and not really having done any internal work, London's development has left certain people feeling .... left out?
Excluded?
Even alienated?
Only askin' like.

I’d say London has lost it appeal to me, in part due to having to work in the cunting place. It’s certainly changed since I was young and not for the better. I can see the appeal for others, but I’d take New York over London any day.

Nothing against the bagpipes, If I were in a battle and some bloke came through mist towards me playing one I would probably be faecally incontinent before running a mile. My mother was Scotch and we had a piper at her funeral.
But as far as marching bands go they are too limited in their range. The Royal Marine beat everybody out of sight with their drum corps which is flawless and all the musicians are experts on their instrument and produce a sound as good as any symphony orchestra.

i beg to differ on the bootneck band..as good as they are...the massed pipes and drums of what is now the Royal Scots..' black bear' and 'Scotland the brave' are unbeatable

Loves London so much he's planning to move to Suffolk.
Here's a tip for you, it's 'your' not 'you're'. You're is a contraction of 'you are'. "What would be you are all time West Ham starting line up"?
You see, it doesn't make sense. So FFS stop doing it.
And London is my home town too, and yes it's a shit hole, and has been for years. Why anyone wants to live in such an overcrowded, oppresive, mind-blowingly expensive dump is beyond me. I'm lucky, I saw the best of it in the 60's, 70's and 80's, but it started going rapidly downhill over 25 years ago and sadly it will never recover in my lifetime.

Anyone who lived in London in the bad old days of the 70s and early 80s like I did will be gobsmacked at how it's moved on in terms of pollution, transport, affluence and general coolness.
ffs, there was an area near the canal by Primrose Hill that was considered down-at-heal in the 1970s. As for Covent Garden....
