I always buy a game pie from Harvey Nicks food stores for xmas.

You know only recently I found out that Fray Bentos was a town in Uruguary. Who remembers their steak and kidney..? Not really a pie.

Best pie I've had was meat and potato pie when watching Gillingham play Blackpool many years ago (it was a bank holiday weekend so went with a load of Gillingham supporting mates). I spent most of the game by the pie stand; they were only a quid and it was more interesting than watching the dirge served up by both sides that day.

I don't disagree we were a com once.

Site went done when some opportunist nicked the .com name.

Ironically, it's now free again.

Yes I agree we were a .com and I joined in 2000 I think.I'm we were then as well.

As for the recipe stuff its Pies and West Ham and footballs and pies are acceptable.

One I miss not being in the UK is our pies. I might forced to make my own out here.

I think the ones at Eat are pretty good.

Check out Higginsons pies Cumbria, best since my old Nans home made steak & kidney. Steak & Stilton is delicious. I had a selection delivered and froze them, handy for a quick meal.
