Let’s not cloud the issue.

Operating profit is barely better than our time at UP.

It’s clear the gains from moving to the OS are marginal, at best.

Tickets sales down by £4m. Brighton will be the first match with a 60000 capacity. They must be beside themselves preparing all those cardboard cut outs?

Tough one though ERN.. .. who to believe... Hugh or Gavvy?? Even if there is a hint of truth with Hugh's figures it's pretty damning... and leaves a nasty stench in the stomach... but hey ho.... at least you guys have got popcorn now eh??

Ticket sales aren't lower than the last year at Upton park. They're lower than the first year at the OS. The original mistake was made by a bloke who does a football finance blog and C&H didn't bother to check it before lifting it ad verbatim.

Those figures are poor. Extremely worrying that ticket sales are lower than last year at UP.

If this were a floated company, investors and analysts would maul it.

You don’t move to a new stadium only to have lower ticket sales than at the previous incumbency. Desperately poor from Brady and Sullivan.

"Ticket sales were down by £4m from £28m to £24m, a figure which is lower than the last season at the Boleyn Ground."

Re: Revenues and Profit down...
Being as our lovely owners only release these figures this time of the year as a way of reducing the fallout I thought I give this a bump in case someone missed it.

This is why we are still messing about signing 30+ year olds and don’t think that Pellegrini wants them, it’s just the best he can get with Sullivan holding the cheque book.

So If I could arrange a bank loan for say £200 million, buy the club, then pay the loan back over 10 years, like a mortgage, but pay myself a £2 million dividend each year, I'm quids in, seems quite simple really.

Despite the increase in the #WHUFC wage bill to £107m, this is still (just) in the bottom half of the Premier League, behind Leicester £113m, Southampton £112m & Palace £112m. Perhaps a better comparison is Everton, whose £145m wages are a sizeable £38m higher than the Hammers.

#WHUFC (cash) interest payment of £12.7m was the second largest in the Premier League, only behind #MUFC £18.9m, as it included 6% interest accrued on the loans from Sullivan and Gold over the past 6 years.

As a sign of the board “investing heavily in the team”, #WHUFC made player purchases of £61m in 2017/18 (mainly Marko Arnautovic, Javier Hernandez and Jordan Hugill). That makes £195m in the last three seasons. However, the spend was only around same level as Stoke and Brighton.

Happy Christmas etc
