Thanks for that Grumpster. I'm exiled in Yorkshire, be great if we win it again and it's nice to know that the Yorkies are out of the picture.

Might as well give us the trophy now and use the rest of the games as a parade... the Essex globetrotters

Re: Essex CCC 2019
No one else can win it wilko.

Maybe even ominous for somerset the way Essex have started bowling again. Very similar to 2017 when they just steamrollered everyone at the end.

As stated, let's hope the T20's dont upset the rhythm.

Re: Essex CCC 2019
My cricket knowledge is minimal. With these 4 games left is it just between Essex and Somerset?
Or can the likes of Yorkshire still win it?

Re: Essex CCC 2019
4 games left, bloody whackball in the way now.

Our run in looks a bit easier on paper, 2 away games in September with 1030 starts and no coin toss needed to bowl first could be crucial.

The run in....

August

Kent v Essex Warks v Somerset

September
Warwickshire v Essex Somerset v Yorkshire

Essex v Surrey. Hampshire v Somerset

Somerset v Essex

Re: Essex CCC 2019
SIR just taking a very decent slip catch indeed the over after a Harmer drop.

Ditto next ball. Easier catch this time.

Re: Essex CCC 2019
Need 9 wickets today and should go top.

Bears need another 334

Best red ball batting track this season at NWS.

Last day of proper cricket before the whackball starts with a trip to Lord's.

Happy days.

You alright Norman?

Thought you'd fallen into an abyss whilst your boys were bottom of division 2 in proper cricket. Good to see you back.

Essex set Warwickshire 400. Wurzels started very well but now three down.

Syd Puddefoot 4:01 Mon Jul 15
Re: Essex CCC 2019
Wurzels did not even get a batting point. Now batting again.

Essex not exactly flying but i reckon it will be enough.

Looking good for top spot by tommorow night.

Re: Essex CCC 2019
Commentator on the live stream just said if Essex win this one, and Somerset lose, we go 4 points ahead at the top of the table.

Somerset currently 138/7, trailing Yarkshire by 382...

Re: Essex CCC 2019
Percy d,

As I type we're leading by 219 runs.

CHEF just gone.

Forecast is good for the remaining 5 sessions.

No need to start slapping it just yet.

Wicket is looking like one of the better ones for batting on at New Writtle St this season.

Start the slap halfway through the second session today when the lead is already 300 I reckon.
