Re: IS Bride gets legal aid
The problem with the rules & laws governing UK society is that they are still mired in the past, where certain things were "just not done", often without hard and fast legislation, but learned and understood by osmosis - parents & elders instilling societal values they inherited into their children.

These, in general, were also applied through the education system - at least until the start of secondary school, when, in general, the early teachings had sown the seeds of the ability to start learning about the world. Great Britain had "an essence"; something that couldn't easily be described (without corrupting/destroying it) - it was certainly something (many) other wanted, either by setting up their societies in the style of GB, or, more latterly, when the corruption in their own countries revealed itself, moving to these small islands.

That broke the societal communication chain that had served the country so well, for those values handed down from parent to child, and grandparent to grandchild were of a different time and place and many of those time-honoured "just not done"'s were not understood and therefore not transmitted on to future generations.

When a big enough recent section of society then appears to run roughshod over those instilled values, breaks start to appear and the rules/laws need to be updated/tightened/more strictly enforced, and, for some reason, the country's administrators appear reluctant to take those required actions needed to preserve what is good about the country.

Perhaps we can get Willie McKay to charter her a flight for her journey back

Re: IS Bride gets legal aid
It's fair enough: if we want a country in which the rule of law is sacrosanct, that comes with the obligation that those who challenge a quasi-judicial decision should be properly represented. My view is that the Home Secretary did not have the power (under our own treaties and conventions) to remove Shamima Begum's citizenship on the grounds that she might have been eligible to apply for a Bangladeshi passport. Who honestly thinks that she will not end up returning to the UK as a British Citizen?

Re: IS Bride gets legal aid
So the British taxpayer will fund her legal case against them, and then no doubt if she wins, will then fund her case for compensation against them as well.

Something very fucked up here? And then to top it all, she fucking hates the British way of life and we are all infidels.

I hate the stupid dumb bitch and hope she eats shit for the rest of her life but am I surprised by this ? I would have to be bloody naïve as fuck because throwing out a citizen is almost impossible in country's of law and principle which GB is.

Re: IS Bride gets legal aid
It's always been said that the British establishment will sell their friends in order to buy their enemies and here you have it confirmation.
Sqauddies going on trial for actions long ago whereas this POS is getting help.
And this isn't one you can blame on the EU it's your own politicians.

Maybe it's not made up.

Maybe it's a politically inspired remainer government decision to try to take the heat off of Brexit.

Re: IS Bride gets legal aid
We are prosecuting our own soldiers, 47 years after the event, and simultaneously spending taxpayers money on an appeal to repatriate an IS participant.

You couldn’t really make it up.

If you’re white and male, and you’re not over 40, heaven help you.
