We still need a ball winning midfielder. Obiang, Sanchez, Oxford and Cullen need to be cleared out.

I would take a gamble on Balotelli and get rid of Hernandez.

Left back is still a problem. We can get rid of either Cresswell or Masuaku and get an upgrade.

I can see that as well Sydney. Perhaps some sort of pay as you play deal, which I think is something like Wilshere has.
But looking a free’s, I would also like to see the mad Italian come in, but I’m sure that would also come as the window closes or even after... Can free agents be signed after the window closes?

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
I see Spurs are going to re sign Llorente only weeks after releasing him, all be it on reduced wages and a season long contract, with a shortage of strikers could we see West Ham do similar with Andy Carroll?

Would imagine the closer we get to the window closing, if we havnt found a suitable buy or loan, it may well get consdieration by the club, especially if he is over the latest injury....

Just saying.

We might as well keep Hernandez unless we can get a good young replacement. It doesn’t make any sense getting Wellbeck.

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
Welbeck is a no for me. Injury prone enough for us to be nervous. Taking him would be an advantage to Arsenal as he'll hardly play there behind lacazette and aubamayang. His potential has been reached and tranfer value only going down. Would ask for significant wages. His best days were 2 plus yrs ago. 30 this year.

Wellbeck is hardly a poor player. It would depend on the nature of the deal, but he has a good attitude, is extremely versatile, and arguably still yet to peak.

Re Welbeck - message to the owners
Please No.
FFS learn a lesson with injury prone players.

Unless of course you can do a deal where he only gets paid for goals & assists...actually, even then, No ta.

I can’t imagine we’d be in the market for another striker, unless little pea leaves. They would only be a benchwarmer.

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
Welbeck often played wide in a 3 rather than as a centre forward.
But he isn’t actually still alive is he?
IS HE?

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
Welbeck is a poor forward, 42 goals and 20 assits in 206.

Carroll by comparison, played 211, 53 goals and 18 assists.

We looked at Ben Yedder a season or two back. We didn't fancy him for whatever they were asking at the time, 10m probably.

Pellegrini's West Ham joins teams looking at Pulgar

West Ham United is another team that has Erick Pulgar in its sights. The level shown by the Bologna midfielder in the Copa América plus his accessible clause to leave the Italian club (£10.8m) has aroused the interest of many places in Europe. The name of the antofagastino also appears in the list of possible reinforcements that Manuel Pellegrini has.

Why waste money on Welbeck.? Give a youngster a couple of run outs. Didn't do Rice any harm. The amount of wedge we have spunked on has beens down the years. Could pay for the divorce settlement for Brexit.

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
i'd be happy with Welbeck on a 1 year deal, although i expect Welbeck will be looking for a longer contract and we've been down that road before with injury prone players.

Re: Summer Transfer window rumours/discussion thread.
Just get Welbeck on a free for a year and be done with it.

Little risk involved and we could do much worse.

Can see that happening anyway.
