The planet is stuffed
CO2 emissions.
Methane emissions from melting perma-frost.
Rain-forest destruction.
Over fishing.
Habitat destruction.
Micro-plastics getting into the food chain.
Rising sea levels.
Acidification of the seas.
Extreme weather events.
Too many people to feed.

Even if we had the solutions and technology, there isn't a mechanism or the will to deploy them on a global scale in a short enough time scale. We can't even stop ivory poachers and the Japs killing wales.

Not to worry though, Trump says it's all 'fake news'.

The next 100 years will be 'interesting'. Quite glad I won't be around.

Finding your stupid idea hilarious means I'm a hysterical person?

Again. Pretty loose connection, from what appears to be a half baked mind.

Yea I was making conceptual rather than specific suggestions, as would probably be obvious from the tone of my original post.

That you find one of those suggestions ‘hilarious’ merely confirms my assertion that you are hysterical (I’m assuming you’re aware of the similarities between the two words)

Have a good day

You didn't say anything about neutralising greenhouse gases before. Feel free to elaborate after the fact tho.

Still a hilarious idea.

I double-bag everything I buy at the supermarket, but only throw one bag away - I use the other as a bin liner.

I'm doing MY bit, me.

Re: The planet is stuffed

So have you. My understanding of the situation is that an excess of certain greenhouse gasses are preventing warmer air from escaping the atmosphere which is causing the planet to warm.

I don’t see what’s so ridiculous about suggesting that there may be a way to reduce these gasses by somehow neutralising them, turning them into something else less harmful or somehow facilitating the escape of said excess gasses from the atmosphere.

I clearly said it was a suggestion off the top of my head and I’m not a scientist so sorry if I wasn’t able to solve global warming in one post.

Pointing out your ridiculous solution is hysterical?

You've filled in a lot of blanks Bruno you idiot.

People are amazing individuals we have the conspiracy theory people who state that the aliens are running the world, we have the 1% of the world have all the money and control the world not the leaders..
If the planet was going to die in the next 25 years why can people get a mortgage? Surely if the rich people control the banks and they know the world is going to die why give money to people who can't pay it back?

Someone asked what we can do with all the plastic bottles etc.
We have been mixing it in with Tarmac for about 5 years (was used on 1 phase of the super cycle highway) Funny how none of this ever seems to get reported is always doom and gloom that makes the headlines.

As with every other change in the past, life on the planet will adapt. There is too much greed causing issues but there is also too much hysteria and do-gooders thinking they have to save everything. Just live your life and when it ends then what does it matter?

If we stop using plastic then what will we recycle all the plastic into?

Seems daft to me

Sorry chaps don't normally bother with these, but did somebody say we are OK we'll just get greenhouse gasses to escape the atmosphere?
And they weren't joking.

There are a couple of simple things we can do to improve CO2.

Red Route every road within 1 mile of schools (No stopping resident parking only)

Would stop the bloody school runs, ease congestion reduce CO2 and get kids to actually walk to school.

When I was at School the School run was a weekly event where we used to run around the school field for an hour
