Other stadiums you want to go to / have been to
What stadiums do you want to see a game at, and which ones have you crossed off the bucket list.

I'll start
Been to: camp nou (barca v selvilla). Outstanding night.
Worst. Manor ground (oxford's old ground)

Want to go to:
San Siro (unlikely now as they're knocking it down)
And that weird boca juniors stadium (la bombonera) with 3 stands and a bizarre block of flats

Roots hall is currently and always was a fucking shithole.

And it's still better than what i recall of the manor ground

At least it was downhill on the way back.

From what I gather being close to the River caused problems with flooding.
Disappointed I never got to see it - beautiful part of the country!

Mallard - ive been to the old gay meadow more times than I can remember, fantastic little ground and was an amazing place to be when the big clubs played there. Saw West Ham win 2-0 back in 1980 season, absolutely packed.

I’ve been to about 60 grounds up and down the country, loved the old ones. Never really had an interest in international grounds or teams, I find being a neutral very dull.

The Manor Ground was a dump. Stand at the back watching other football matches in the park. BASTARD walk from and to the station as well, when the lovely local police gave you no option but to go with the police escort.

"Worst. Manor ground (oxford's old ground)"

My wife used to work in the manor house that gave it that name.

But from what I hear from the locals a lot enjoyed it more than the mighty Kassam. (a bit like on here)

(I have only be to latter, obviously)

Lowering the tier a little, did anyone ever go to Shrewsbury’s old ground GAY Meadow, before it got knocked down ?

Never got the chance, but always looked picturesque from exterior photos

I went to the MCG for Pakistan v West Indies in the 1992 World Cup,there was only about 5000 in a ground that holds about 100000

Been to both Park head and Ibrox for the old firm, mental atmosphere.

Also went to Amsterdam Arena and saw Rangers play them in CL, think Dani scored a hatrick or maybe 2.

Been to the MCG loads of times.. Football.. Cricket and the odd AFL game, no atmosphere at the latter even with nigh on 90,000 there and the biggest rivalry.

I have been to most stadiums, new and old, watching West Ham in England, but the worst ones I have ever been to have to be Cremonese and Heysel.

Stockport, the Old Den, Cambridge United and the ‘old’ Oldham have the worst in England, for me.

Never understood people wanting to go to these foreign grounds...If West Ham or England are not playing I have no interest whatsoever....if barcelona v brazil was being played in my back garden I`d do the washing up....

Re: Other stadiums you want to go to / have been to
Even when I loved football, had no interest in going to any stadium in the world unless west ham were playing.

Done 80 of the 92 grounds with the hammers and a few in Scotland for friendlies and europe for the inter toto etc, but no particular desire for any specific grounds.

Would have been nice to have tucked off all 92 (a few since relegated out of the league as well), but I barely like what football has become now, so will never happen.

Even missed my uncles funeral once as we were playing in a new ground and that ground was barnet. Lucky I did, as not played there again since!!

Always like Peterborough and the terrace there and fucking hated the little cunty terraces they used to have at goodison and old Trafford.

Would take an Adam's park over a new stadium any day of the week. Least favourites now are ours, Etihad and the Emirates.

I’d recommend Optus Stadium in Perth where the Wallabies smashed the Kiwi cunts last week.

Would like to get to Dortmund and Atletico Madrid’s grounds.
And the Adelaide Oval

Re: Other stadiums you want to go to / have been to
The best atmosphere I’ve been to was Celtic v Rangers ,when Parkhead was still a dump,it was Mo Johnstone’s first game there for Rangers,he scored ,and the Rangers fans were fighting with each other all around me,fucking crackers.

The nearest atmosphere to that was our game at the old Den,when Ince scored the winner, the only other time I’ve felt that hated was when I called my missus another girls name at a totally inappropriate time.

The old Manor Ground, Oxford was a bit of a dump back in the day.

Forgot to mention the MCG, went there for the 2017 ashes, absolutely brilliant stadium.

Good point re the MCG, that and the SCG are on my bucket list rather than any football stadiums.

Wembley for West Ham in the FA Cup Final.

Went to the MCG in the mid 1990's for an Aussie Rules game. Also had a bit of a walk inside the stadium during the day. Very impressive indeed. Managed to get onto the grass as well, so of course spat on it.

Went to Murrayfield for the Scotland/New Zealand Rugby World Cup game in 1999(?)bas well.

Saw the outside of the San Siro when we were in Milan after the Cremonese match.

A lot of stadia/atmospheres I would have wanted to witness have gone thanks to stadium changes/away fan bans.

Re: Other stadiums you want to go to / have been to
i have been to 32 in England, best for me were Everton , Fulham , and Notts County

Everton is England's own Chocolate Box ground , (and the only place in the country where Bobby Moore scored in an England shirt)

worst is Estadio de Cess and old Goldstone ground

i want to go to Brentford before they demolish it, and then the new Brentford too.
.

Dortmund is fantastic, by the way, you can also drink beer during the game too. The food is great too outside, no greasy burgers there - huge baps with sliced ham and mustard, sausages, it is a great place. However, Stuttgart is also pretty special, and next to a fairground/festival park if you time it right.
