Is this what ape-man Keys was getting all excited about after our match on Monday. He read a statement out for Bein sport about piracy.

BREAKDOWN OF WHO DOES WHAT

SOURCE - this is who provides content to the PROVIDER
PROVIDER - this who who we get the service from
XTREAM CODES - the software that allows the PROVIDER to create accounts

WHAT'S HAPPENED?
This morning at about 6am, authorities in Rome, Italy - working with at least 5 other Euro countries - have taken down XTREAM CODES.
Allegedly, for providing a TV service. This isn't what they do. They build the control panel, legitimately. So, it would sufggest they decided to do that on the side.
So, whether they're are gone for good or not is in the hands of their Dutch, Italian and Bulgarian lawyer team.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
The effect that has had, globally, is that any provider using that software cannot currently create, edit, delete any accounts.
Of course, there are other companies who also make similar software for the control panels.
It does not mean the providers' services are gone. It just means that the provider can't make any changes at this time...any providers, globally.

HOW WILL THIS AFFECT YOU?
There is no immediate effect on customers. Services are still accessible and running.
However, to replace the panel means that there will, at some point, be some downtime.
This is estimated to be less than a day once the switch to the new panel has started.

There is no need to panic. This isn't a source or provider issue.

Re: the website that cannot be mentioned here...
I will say for someone who is interested in games that sometimes do not involve the "big" teams

The BT sports app is an extra £10 a month and you can send it to your TV.

Watched Bayern and Red Star last night.

And will probably watch Gent tonight.

We talking about the same service Deano?? I've had full SKY Sports/BT Sports coverage all the way through the summer?? So far this season seen all the WHU games I have wanted to see... hopefully this news is not terminal

Re: the website that cannot be mentioned here...
And something else that I discovered is that wrong games are sometimes listed on wrong channels, also some games are being shown on the higher number channels that aren't listed at all. Maybe that's what happened last night with the CL games?

Re: the website that cannot be mentioned here...
They have had a message at the top of the screen for more than a month now saying:

"All Sky Sports & BT pages are currently suspended but will be fixed next week, however all Premier League games will continue to be shown as normal."

I contacted them about some PPV boxing and they put it on, I also contacted about th Ashes but had no reply. To be honest they've not shown anything BT related for ages, def more than a year, and any BT ppv boxing isn't shown either.

I think they've been rumbled by Sky / BT and can now only show things they are streaming from North America, maybe they don't want to risk Champions League as well? Def sounds like either the owners shit himself about something and doesn't want to risk prosecution (fair enough), or they can't figure a way around it all. Either way, seems like it's on borrowed time and I'm already being recommended decent alternatives, albeit ones that are slightly more expensive and will also require a VPN.

To be fair for now, I'm happy to keep paying £3.50 a month for a guaranteed HD West Ham stream, as really that (and boxing) are all I use it for anyways.

I suspect that we're very close to the point where content owners have been quite happy to use the pirates to hook customers onto their product and now feel confident enough that once nailing the pirates, enough will move over to paid-for delivery.

They may have a problem if the pirate is in a rogue or virtual state though. *Looks at several national internet service providers and smiles*

Re: the website that cannot be mentioned here...
I have left that site now.

A fellow West Ham supporter infomed me of another type of site.

It is a million times better.
Has all the Sports, NBC, Sky, PPV etc
All USA Channels, UK.

I purchased it via an app on iphone however there is no AIRPLAY support.

The best he said was firestick and use the app that way. Its like Sky and all foreign channels, no upodating bullshit, VPN, Kodi crap. simple plug and play.

IPTV
