Extinction Rebellion are back
Walked through Trafalgar Sq earlier.
No traffic getting through just loads of upper middle class soap dodgers sitting on the roads having picnics.
Looked like a Corbyn lookalike contest.

Oh and Chill's been nicked...

For nearly 30 years I’ve worked with London’s poorest families in the poorest postcodes alone with volunteering with the homeless for all that time. I’ve seen them all getbwealthier and wealthier but yeah, I’ll believe your statistic that says that we have the 12th most amount of poor people in the world.

If you believe that, you need to get off Facebook for a while and visit that real world you think you know so well.

Eerie.

Sections of society have become so self entitled that they think the things i listed are absolute essentials not luxeries. When i first got with my Aussie Mrs she used to be fascinated by the car crash shows put out by channel 4/5 and in almost every case of called poverty the protagonists all had a big fuck off tele and a smart phone.

67 is using a relative measure to say that people are living hand to mouth. Even if what he was saying about relative poverty wasnt abject bollovks, and it is, that doesnt mean that those people are struggling, and they're not.

In short, hes chatting immense levels of shit.

Re: Extinction Rebellion are

Not one word of that is true. Not one. We dont have 140000 living in poverty let alone 14 million. Only a liar would push that number.
The second thing about us having the 12th highest number of poor people in the world is the most laughable thing I've ever read on here. You must be desperate to lie that much .

Re: Extinction Rebellion are back
That's mainly just possessions, bonds, he's apparently not talking about possessions.

We'll find out in a minute what he means by poverty.

Ok i'll ask you another. Do you think a family being unable to afford a holiday,50"tv,having a house full of i pads, playstations etc count as poverty?

Just because some cant have some of the things they want it dosn't make them poverty stricken.

Sorry, I thought considering your views on the matter, you'd actually know what you was talking about. My mistake.

If you want to know what actual poverty is, go to India.

.
I was listening to a podcast a while back and someone was suggesting anythingvbelow 18k per year represented poverty.

What would you say is the bare minimum a person needs to rise above the poverty level?

What do you base it on?

Westham67 11:47 Sun Oct 20
Re: Extinction Rebellion are back
And there lies the problem people like you base poverty on possessions

Re: Extinction Rebellion are back
I agree with 67, 20% of this country can't afford anything better than an iPhone 6, the poor fuckers.

Westham67 11:25 Sun Oct 20
Re: Extinction Rebellion are back
