Would you replace Pellegrini with Mourinho?
It seems like some are running out of patience with Pellegrini.

Mourinho is looking for a job, loves living in London and has said he would be open to a "project" if it was a club that had potential.

Yes or no?

What a ridiculous suggestion.

As if no one would notice.

Re: Would you replace Pellegrini with Mourinho?
I've said it before and will again here. Mourinho would be an unmitigated disaster at West Ham. He would get nowhere near the backing he requires, and when he's not winning trophies, he's starting dumpster fires.

Chelsea he run into the ground and we all know whats gone on at Man Utd

Re: Would you replace Pellegrini with Mourinho?
i fucking hate defending him, but failed, really? He won the league at Chelsea, and won the League Cup, Europa League & finished 2nd at Man Utd.

I think his managerial style has become outdated which is why things implode quicker than they used to, whether he's able to change it is anyone's guess. Still, he won't be doing it here anyway, and nor will Howe or anyone with any sense of pride or ambition.

The thing is we are doing it again, changing managers like socks since Lyall is what we have done, it never worked before and I doubt it is the answer now.

Re: Would you replace Pellegrini with Mourinho?
No. Mourinho plays Allardyce style football and spends needs hundreds of millions to do it.

He's also an utter cunt

Re: Would you replace Pellegrini with Mourinho?
No fucking way, give Mourinho the best squad in the world and they still play football that you wouldn’t want to pay a fiver to watch.

Re: Would you replace Pellegrini with Mourinho?
I think a lot of people forget that when Jose took over Chelsea they had come 2nd the previous season and already spent about 100m on players over the last few seasons.

He then comes in and spends another hundred million or so and moves up 1 place and then he looks like a genius!

He literally outspent everyone. Even then when his unbeaten home record was literally a ton of 1 nils and a few draws.

Also this idea that Liverpool and Dortmund spent tons isn’t really accurate. Spent tons relative to who? Us or Man U / Chelsea / Man City ?

He’s paid inflated prices for players so it looks mad but he hasn’t bought like 200m on players and benched them like some other clubs (Man U). Totally different level of spending at Liverpool. It’s done with purpose.

I knew exactly what you meant, mate.

I was being michevious.

I think Mourinho would struggle getting us into the Champoins League.

It's a tough league, because even when you have top teams having dips in form, its hard capitalising on it because there are very few easy games.

Wong

Similar style of play - rather defensive

I would argue that if you take away the massive budgets allocated to mourinho in comparison to allardyce they would not be too dissimilar.

Pelle won’t get us in the champs league tho, especially when you consider the backing from 2 bobs

Thinking about it, grasshopper, the best way to put it would be to say that Allardyce is a 'very poor man's Mourinho'.
