Excellent... fascinating ‘alternative’ perspective... using much documentary footage from sources that propose to be authoritative yet presented differently...

You can block adverts around TV shows now?

In the words of the older yellow one, "Computers can do that?"

'Advertisers assume that the creation of a thread like this reaches back to viewing the TV show in question and hence the adverts swamping it.'

Re: Millennial "influencer" claims WWII shouldn't be taught in schools as it might affect mental health
The word "anxiety" is used 7 times in that article and zero times in the Jobsite report that it stems from. It's just the Mail pandering to older people's hatred and jealousy of the young, as usual.

What the report says is that a lot of younger people don't like secret santa, birthday whip rounds, etc. as much as older people, probably because they generally get paid a lot less. They also tend to give more generously, probably because older people couldn't give a fuck what people think of them any more.

This all has fuck all to do with the current generation and would have been the same 50 years ago.

Secret Santa is also causing stress and problems for youngsters and should be banned or limited in the workplace, well according to some academics, what a load of old cunty bollocks!

What the fuck is wrong with the UK? FFS

Re: Millennial "influencer" claims WWII shouldn't be taught in schools as it might affect mental health
Bit weird this as in the whole of my schooling we never once touched WW1, WW2 or any Military campaigns by the British Empire... few bits on the Romans and the Tudors and fucking SHED LOADS on the Industrial Revolution... boy what I could tell you all about the Spinning Jenny and the Flying Whittle is no one's business... where as my daughters (born in 2001) school has had shit loads of WW2 stuff... she's had school trips to Yrpes and Normandy... I'm fucking jealous of her as we had none of that... our school trip was to see that fucking shit iron Bridge in Shropshire... I know whose History lessons I would have preferred

Swing, swing, swing goes the pendulum from soy snowflake to toxic gammon jingoistic berks. Each pointing at each other as a justification for their respective ridiculous positions

There's a rainbow coloured LGBT poppy being sold on Amazon.

Tbh again I've very little doubt that this is also all about attention seeking.

Head that SOME people want white poppies, and that selling poppies glorifies war.

Are these people fucking thick?

Don't believe for a minute someone like this believes a word they say.

They're out for attention, and rage-clicks translate to both that and money.

Give it a few days and there'll be a sob story about how he's got death threats.

"Sydney Iron kids learn the environmental science of climate change as part of the geography curriculum and it is entirely justifiable that they do so. Learning about that and the lessons of history are both important"

I dont disagree Debs, but are they are equally "scarry" to these millennial snowflakes? I would say the climate change hysteria is maybe causing far more mental health issues than learning about WW2, but not a chance in hell they will be toning that down...........
