For anyone who likes a punt. I3e. Listed on aim. Made one nice oil discovery recently in the North Sea, about to drill another hole, which is highly likely to have a good result. Massively underpriced @ 35p. I'll be selling @ 120p....

Mortgage on it, stand on me, etc.

Well yeah, but if you ignore the title .... swt :-)

I didn’t get involved at the start as I took it as a heads up for a punt. When it dropped I took a bit more interest and did some research and saw that the garlic wasn’t offering anything not in the public domain.

Decent punt in my opinion, and if it gets back to where it was around £1.20 I’ll buy you all a bag of your favourite crisps as I’m on at 7.5p average.

If it fails I’ll be £4k down but by no means out

Re: Share tip
in fairness this has been a funny chat board.

I only wish garlic would at least do us the honour of resurfacing, I don't think he's been on since his tip/punt.

I didn't buy any of these ones but I've suffered my fair share of pain with ignorant dabbling.

£2.5k?!

You're a braver man than I. I normally worry about putting £20 on a horse tip that's been posted up on here.

This reminds me of the old Dragon Oil penny share tip off that everyone in Essex seemed to get stuck into 25yrs ago

Ha ha ha... yup we got done with a tech firm called Birchin International when the penny tech shares were big biz... think the whole of our football club invested on the word of one of our players... I reckon a cool 50K between all of us went south... pop went the tech dot.com bubble...

I've averaged out to about 9p a share with I3e... about 2.5k invested... not goona make me or break me but have a feeling long term (2 years) might be ok...

"where in the OP does he say it's a tip"

In the title?

This has been one of my most favourite threads on here in a long time.

Re: Share tip
So garlic posted a tip at '35' and the shares are now worth '5'. Yeh, great tip that.

Come on then John, where in the OP does he say it's a tip. I can clearly see the word 'punt' which is a totally different thing.

Shares are generally a long term investment so don't cry if your investment loses value in the short term.

Re: Share tip
Remember there was a firm called Quindell. £3bn market cap at one point. Largest on AIM.

People were tipping it and getting very excited.

The end result? Shares collapsed, firm sold, and now being investigated by the Serious Fraud Office.

Invest on AIM at your peril, full of shister directors and lenders making a living off your savings.

Re: Share tip
garlic, on the other hand, I think is genuine.

He pointed out this was a punt and the potential pitfalls of AIM and I for one took it as such as I’m sure others did despite giving him a bit of a slating.

Scarper

I’ve been a frequent observer of those forums and you get lots of people on there who have obvious agendas. The rampers, for example, make me laugh with comments like “ definitely at the bottom now, only way is up “ or “ massively oversold so I’ve bought another 20 trillion quids worth today “

Bunch of shitcunts ( no offence Sidney ) as far as I’m concerned

You have a similar manner

I would propose Novartis (NOVN) instead. Looks a tad safer.
