Just for the record, I knew it was going to be shit.

It was obvious from the vague plans that they took forever to release all those years ago.

They were being obviously and deliberately obtuse and for good reason as it has turned out.

I don’t think the bitterness will ever leave me.

"We fell for it... and people are angry for falling for it"

very true, but it still doesnt make the actions of the owners acceptable.

i wont be there Saturday because i dont honestly see it making a difference (plus i've not been since the move). but you have to appreciate that the club is all some people have, following west ham is the only reason they go to work. that relationship between supporters and the club has been destroyed by the move.

Re: Gold, Sullivan & Brady "club murdering c#nts"
Goose... we won' Stuff' at UP... people wanted to move as they were fed up waiting an hour at UP tube station (even though they could walk 10 mins to East ham and walk straight on a tube).. they wanted to move from UP because Green Street smelt of curry and had sari's everywhere... they wanted to move from UP as the stadium was wonky and NOT the same since the terraces went... do people actually think we was going to go into the OS and sign any player in the world and be in the Champions League in a few years time just because we moved fucking stadiums??

I think people are protesting because they are ANGRY that they fell for the Bullshit and for NOT fighting the cause at the time...

My MATES are the same... they are moaning like anything... the ones that have not chucked in their ticket that is... shit stadium...lies...etc... and yet they went along with everything.. I got no sympathy for them being duped... just like I wouldn't if they got duped by a pikey flogging a new driveway....

what';s the old saying??

The trust of the innocent is the liar's most useful tool.

We fell for it... and people are angry for falling for it

Re: Gold, Sullivan & Brady "club murdering c#nts"

I've said it before and I will doubtless have to say it again - David Sullivan, all before moving to the cesspit:

"'We have made it available for everybody at a reasonable prices, we want to make it affordable to the man in the street. We will get £5m-10m more in admission income which buys you one player in the Premier League but it makes it more affordable."

"We have fantastic communications links, it is good for the club and good for the area. Other clubs will say we don’t want it because it is not a perfect stadium. (There was) A lot of money building it for Olympics, conversion costs were more than it should have been as it wasn't built to be converted. It is not a perfect stadium. "

"'We have cut our prices by 25 per cent and made the bottom ones cheaper. Your gate income relative to TV money is small so I think it's wrong to try and squeeze every last penny out of your supporters.

'We have priced the stadium to sell it out but also so that we could say that we are giving back to the community. Next season the TV has gone up dramatically so we are all in a position — every club — to give something back if we want to. 'We will only lose out by about £5m through what we have done. It won't be the difference between success and failure.

'We want to buy a striker in the summer for £20m and make a statement signing for when we arrive here. But that money doesn't come from gate receipts. It's from the other bit.

'If you lose £5m it's great for the supporters but for us it won't make the difference between signing Ronaldo and not signing him."

There's countless others. Yes, Brady & Gold made ridiculous statements like 'World class team in a world class stadium' but frankly, anyone listening to those two soundbyte cunts gets what they deserve. In fact, anyone listening to marketing soundbytes without interrogating the information gets what they deserve.
The reality is that most people wanted to move for selfish reasons - saving journey time, being scared of the locals in Upton Park etc etc, and because of utterly wistful dreaming about naming rights and joining the 'top 6' with no basis in any logic or fact whatsoever.

Thing is Jimm... the vast vast majority of fans at the time were happy to GAMBLE on the shit stain promises of those three chancers... I can't belieive that people fell for the cock shit that came out of their lying cunting gobs... they have lied from day one... yet people were happy to give up everything what we stood for for a CHANCE in that shit hole...

Re: Gold, Sullivan & Brady "club murdering c#nts"
I've met plenty over the years from the immediate area and plenty have called it 'The Boleyn'.

What did you call St. Andrews?

btw...next time you're back maybe change 'Upton Park' in your posts to 'the Boleyn'...see that other East Stand Pat/David Gold bloke usually says 'Upton Park' as well...

Boleyn Ground was the name, but no one ever used it and if you were from the area you would know that.

Re: Gold, Sullivan & Brady "club murdering c#nts"
No-one is saying that they are throwing their toys out of the pram because we are not in Europe and top 6 consistently. What people are fucked off about is promising additional investment, revenue and improved finances in exchange for leaving Upton Park. It really is that simple.

If that first season, they had spent £40 mill on Laccazette, a marquee signing or whoever, given it a real go and it had all gone pear-shaped, people would have accepted it - you tried, but failed.

But no, same old cheapness, loans and two bob shite cheapo buys, so they uproot everything, for the sake of pound notes at the expense of our history and passion, to further the wallets of a select few.

It is an utterly despicable situation for anyone who truly loves the club. It's great for people like you I am sure, pick and choose when you fancy going, and then when they get relegated you can fuck off to the latest shiny stadium that catches your eye - but not the real fans, we are stuck with that shithole for the foreseeable future.

I cannot wait for tomorrow, i think it will be a real eye opener for a lot of people, and i hope it is as enjoyable as the Rambles in 2018.

WHU(exeter) gullible???

you are saying that we should be in the CL because david gold said we were going to the next level!

Don't think anyone's thinking that, but fans are entitled to be pissed off with the fact they've moved on the premise of taking the club to the next level without actually saying what the next level actually means, for me personally I took it as the club would be spending massively in every transfer window to make us a part of the top 6 or 7 clubs that would be challenging for a European spot, So am I wrong to be protesting cos I expected the club to be spending somewhere in the region or £75 mill net a season on transfers, and for the money of the clubs sale of upton park to be pumped into the training ground to make it one of the best academy set ups in the country? Instead all we get is transfers on the cheap and a laughing stock of a training ground.

David

Your posts (by their unique blend of levels of idiocy and smugness) are giving you away by the minute. They positively reek of your remarks on twitter.

Little snippets thrown around that don't actually mean any thing and can't be backed up with any substance whatsoever, signed off in a smug manner.

By 'gullible' I was referring to anybody who would still believe a single word that leaves your mouth.

btw...next time you're back maybe change 'Upton Park' in your posts to 'the Boleyn'...see that other East Stand Pat/David Gold bloke usually says 'Upton Park' as well...

Re: Gold, Sullivan & Brady "club murdering c#nts"
has anyone mentioned the CL on here?

they lied about the impact of moving stadium
they lied about the distances from the pitch
they lied about retractable seating

their track record at the club is awful, especially given the money they are handed by Sky every year.
the clubs infrastructure is outdated.

they simply cannot run a PL football club effectively.

"None of us are really judge, jury and executioner over who is or isn't West Ham"

You are right with that, but one thing that strikes me more than anything else about fans of this club from over 40 years of watching them all around the country.

There IS what people would call that 'West Ham family' - I think everyone of us who has gone for years have seen certain things stick out. There are always exceptions but the pervading things are generosity, fans who don't even know each other helping fellow fans out, fans sorting out tickets for strangers for the cost of a pint, making sure that at away games up at somewhere like 'Boro on a Tuesday night everyone around you is sorted, looking out for each other, plenty of piss taking yeah, but even when someone has overstepped it the knowledge that person will be sorted and helped if needed, a REAL camaraderie

You don't see it just at away games, you see it wherever West Ham are...look at on here over the years how people have been helped at looked after. Strangers at times other than posts on a message board helped no end with all sorts of problems.

That's not unique I suppose to West Ham but we have it in abundance and are one of if not the best.

It's from a very real spirit and good faith and generosity, without thought of self gain

I think those things define us.

It's why I think that David Gold can have been born on the centre spot of the Boleyn and have supported the club since 1895

He is a West Ham fan but he was and will never be part of the West Ham family

He doesn't have the character,
