Stuart Pearson
Now 70 years old. What's he up to these days? I heard that he'd moved to Spain.

He often participates in the various 1980 celebration evenings.

Re: Stuart Pearson
My enduring memory of Pearson in West Ham colours is a League Cup tie at Forest.

It rained a lot that evening, but for a brief moment it seemed like the trip had all been worthwhile when a defence splitting pass from Brooking (I think) sent Pearson clear towards goal.
He was still a fair distance from goal, and he had two options.

1 - Outpace the chasing defenders, round the keeper, slot the ball into the empty net, and send us into the next round.

2 - Fall flat on this fucking face in the mud.

Re: Stuart Pearson
John Lyall said in his book that his switch to 451 in the Cup Final wouldn't have happened without a clever player like Pearson being able to drop deep leaving Crossy up front on his own.

Re: Stuart Pearson
He won the FA Cup with Man U in 1977 so that’s unforgivable. And typical of a Man U fan

Of course he hit the greatest cross?/shot? of all time that Sir Trev nodded in.
Had forgotten he actually played for England (when at Man U naturally).
Missed a lot of football with knee trouble but was a clever player.

I’ve been to old Trafford a couple of times in hospitality and he’s been there.

My brother in law who’s a Man Utd fan didn’t know who he was, so when he came round yo our table he just talked about 1980 final.

''What's he up to these days?''

At 70 years old I doubt he's 'up to' a lot.

Most pointless thread of the year, to date.

Nah, screw that.

The world is going to have a tough time convincing France about gender neutrality. Gender specifics are the very essence of their language.

Pour moi, c'est un homme!
