I did watch the trailer yesterday, I'll probably give it a go over Christmas. Worth watching just for Anya Chalotra.

Re: The Witcher
Finished the first season last night, was decent enough but just feels like we should have another 8 episodes coming out next month or something, seems to leave a LOT of questions unanswered. New season doesnt come out until 2021 apparently.

First few episodes was very confusing with the 3 different timelines happening at once but started to make sense later on when they started intertwining.

Struggled through to the end of episode 2.

Visuals and fight scenes ok, but acting is very poor.
I will give it one more episode before I give up

Loved GoT

Didn't even manage to finish the first episode of this.

Whole thing did feel very "video game", which is probably intentional (camera angles, visuals etc. felt like a cut scene from Devil May Cry 2 on PS2)

Didn't realise it actually is based on a video game til reading this thread.

Might give it another go later if this thread says its worth it

My two teenage sons are watching it now. I watched 5 minutes. It appeared to be shit though with some attractive women.

Is that an accurate summary?

Surprised people aren't all over this. Not easy to adapt a game to TV.

They haven't, it is a series of books that the show and game have adapted.

Re: The Witcher
without knowing anything about it, i'm going to assume it'll be the usual case of dozens of skilled technical professionals wasting their talent carving out an incredible world for some mediocre writers to piss all over.

Re: The SPLATTER !!!
I think I might be one of the only people in the world who didn't really enjoy the game. Whilst the map was beautiful and vast, ultimately I thought the combat was terrible.

That said, the story seemed interesting up to the point I got to so might give the tv show a go.
