Can’t believe people referring to it as a ‘Policy’

It’s an etiquette. It’s like saying “what’s your policy on saying please and thank you?” You are either rude or polite. Nothing to be debated here.

Don’t agree Ridikzappa, you’re a rude fucker for thinking it’s ok to walk your shitty shoes through someone’s gaff.

Of all the things in life worth worrying about taking off shoes in your home doesn’t seem to be one of the to me - unless it’s really wet and muddy out.

Have a mudr99m now, which helps.

It was the norm to keep your shoes on when I lived there but I lived places much further south than you and it was extremely dry as well.

I lived in the States, most houses I visited had a shoe policy

Re: People Who Have a No Shoes Policy In Their Homes
Most countries nowadays take there shoes off, it’s only Britain and USA that refuse to give in.

Disgusting really if you think about it, I’ve lived in Sweden for 30 years.. no one leaves shoes on indoors.

I can’t think of anyone I visit in blighty who keeps them on any more.

No shoes in the house is just normal isnt it? Why would you want people dragging mud and shit through your gaff?

People who enforce the no shoes policy also hide their tomato sauce away in the furthermost corner of a kitchen cupboard.

Quality trotters are my only vice.. Even at 11 yrs I had a quality full brogue.. (blakies).. Courtesy of my grandad
We used to clean our own shoes an all.. didn't we chaps

Re: People Who Have a No Shoes Policy In Their Homes
A man's trotters are what he's all about..

These upstarts will be dealt with on the doorstep..

British bods have always had an unfair reputation amongst our 'friends' 😁 on the continent.
As far as I'm concerned.. I've always dressed smart.. Nothing over the top..
Fuck brands and price tags

Filthy bastards! Should be taken outside for a good beating. Rugs not Turks, probably do them good mind.

Turkish custom is to respect the carpet or fuck off out.

Carpets and curtains are filth, full of dust mites amongst other non-mentionables. Along with the fire risk they should have a COPD warning, not fit to polish my Louboutins.

What if you have someone come round with seriously stinky feet - do you spray them with deodorant?

It's standard practice in Sweden. Leave your grubby clogs at the door.

Re: People Who Have a No Shoes Policy In Their Homes
This is a policy I respect everywhere I go.

Not out of respect for religious, health or hygiene matters- it's just that I'm too poor to afford shoes of any sort to leave at a door.

Why are you all walking in dog shit so much?

Alfs 3:43 Wed Dec 25
Re: People Who Have a No Shoes Policy In Their Homes
I don't go to other people's houses. Other people are cunts.

I take my shoes off at home though. More comfy, innit.
