This Coronavirus in China
anyone else worried? 9 dead so far.

CNY soon so the virus will spread very quickly if they cannot control it. It'll be in Europe by the end of CNY if not earlier.

is this the end of humanity?

Re: This Coronavirus in China
Been looking at one or two alternative websites and found some interesting theories - not saying I believe any of this but I like to keep an open mind. Here are some of the most intriguing/ridiculous ideas, depending on your point of view:

The coronavirus is a bio-weapon deliberately introduced into China by the cabal that runs the world, with the purpose of inflicting a major blow on the Chinese economy, which is considered to be getting too powerful.

In Wuhan they have the most advanced 5G network in the world and they turned up the power to effectively microwave the local population to see if it would kill the virus, but it didn't. (!)

A second, more virulent form of the virus has recently taken hold in China but at the moment hasn't spread beyond China.

UV light is an effective weapon against the virus, as is sunshine, so better weather will reduce its spread.

If the virus really takes hold here we will be given short notice (say, 12 hours) of enforced self-isolation. Supermarkets are expected to sell out within 4 hours of the announcement.

Unlike other viruses, it is possible to catch this one more than once. The second time is much more likely to be fatal than the first.

Apparently it is possible to build a timer into this type of virus, so at a predetermined time it may just disappear.

If it takes too much of a hold in the USA a cure will 'miraculously' be found.

I have little doubt that the numbers are underreported but, even if they wanted to be 💯% honest, because of it's sheer size, China would never be able to give the true story.

Someone ITK told me China has way way underreported the true numbers, by a factor of 10 even. Communist countries (and some western ones) tend to hide the facts from the world and their own citizens.

Anyway I’m off to Japan in March and ain’t no fucking virus stopping me!

Relax, you've only got to survive until spring and then it goes away. I'd have expected loads more cases in the UK by now, if its to go mental here it will surely be very soon.

Exciting times.

Yeah GPH.

I'm not worried in the slightest.

50/1 shot.

All this self isolation quarantine nonsense is bollocks.

The horse has bolted.

The stable door is flapping.

Might as well carry on as normal.

Survival of the fittest.

If I cork it, can't complain.

I've lived a life.

Doubt I'll cork it though.

Probably got between 20 and 40 more years.

What a CHORE.

geep

I think you're probably right but,

1) You can't trust stats from China.
2) Its probably too early to make the extrapolation.

COVID-19 is unlikely to have a death rate in double figure percentages. Good reason for not wanting to catch it, but I doubt its long-term economic effects will be great.

Unless it mutates and 2% of its victims become flesh-eating zombies.

Sure I read somewhere about how the worldbank funds WHO pandemic events via the issue of bonds, these are due to mature in July.

Surely, nobody would put big investors before public safety would they?

In about 3-6 months it will be all over, our hospitals will stop every procedure except having the virus people in, thus creating a huge backlog in operations etc. The country will be basically at a standstill as they’ll be that many either with it or in quarantine, Beverly mind we’ll still be ok in the championship with Moyes still as manager.

At the rate the Iranians are claiming their death rate from chinkovirus is around 25%. Suggests they have their numbers wrong.

That Braintree thing was also bollocks it seems. Weird because Bolty is usually so accurate with his facts. Oh hang on he's a screaming little noofter. My mistake.

Does this Iranian health minister have a special vest?

Anyway, he's clever. 15 reported dead in Iran. "The death toll was rejected by Mr Harirchi, who vowed to resign if it could be proven that even half that number had died."

How do you prove 7.5 people dead?

Branded

Another iranian MP has also tested positive and stated he is going to die.

What a drama queen.
