This coronavirus in China
anyone else worried? 9 dead so far.

CNY soon so the virus will spread very quickly if they cannot control it. It'll be in Europe by the end of CNY if not earlier.

is this the end of humanity?

It's not really the money making aspect of it (if people knew how much it costs to build a 4/5G mobile network...blah, blah, blah), it's more the getting the government's ear so as to funnel any money that is to be made their way and their way only.

Fo - hard to argue with that logic ;-)

Seemed to me that Corbyn was actually on to something with his idea of a state funded drug / medical research company. The state props up far less worthy projects.
Of course as it was Corbyn's plan no one gave it any mind.

NJ - then you'll be happy on both counts, I've had both jabs and my info definitely doesn't come from social media.

You could say it's cuntidh listening to only msm experts when so many other experts that don't see it the same but are censored though. But again that isn't where I get mine from.

Jersey, so are people not allowed to question these people? If so why not?

I thought we lived in a democratic society where we can openly debate things?

fraser - the only 'cuntish' aspect is the selfish people who refuse to have a jab, I'd rather listen to health professionals than people whose main 'source' of information is social media!

Totally agree, mate.

I'd argue it's a whole lot worse in the US than it is here, with our healthcare system etc.

Block.. The trouble is mate, with all the best intentions, things cost money.

It's as simple as that.

Re: This coronavirus in China
I’m coming over to the UK and (perhaps not wisely in retrospect) going to Paris for a few days. I have to
1. PCR test before I leave
2. PCR test when I arrive (extra $ for expedited test)
3. NAAT test before leaving for Paris
4. NAAT test before I come back to US

These things aren’t cheap when you add them up and seemingly in the UK a whole industry has been built up around COVID testing that must be a money spinner and won’t want to go quietly when things return to normal, whatever that ends up being.

Well they'd need to earn a lot to pay $3 billion fines

bell, not sure if that's aimed at me mate.

But, I wasn't referencing my view - just others views on Pharma making so much money from people's misfortunes.

Difference is, many people do not earn money that way, so your suggestion of us working for free doesn't make much sense.

Here's a question, do you think people get into Pharma for A) the money or B) to help people find cures for diseases to help other humans out?

bell 3:51 Tue Dec 7
Re: This coronavirus in China
How do you think big Pharma, or small for that matter, pay the electricity bills? Pay staff? Buy laboratory equipment?

It's a business.

Do you think we should do our jobs for free?

RM10 - why is that then?

I think a lot took it not because they were worried for themselves but to help stop transmission, as it clearly doesn't really do that and more varients will pop up which it doesn't work on, seems sensible to me.

My wife is a PA for a patent attorney that writes the patents for all three companies, obviously to do so they have to know everything about them inside out, if they didn't they couldn't write them. As they have to explain how they work, why it works and if anyone else is copying any part of it.

But that has nothing to do with my comments below.

Re: This coronavirus in China
anyone who is themselves vaccinated and feels unsafe because someone nearby hasn't put a bit of useless bit of cloth across their mouth has clearly very little idea of just how frail their mortality truly is and needs a statistical breakdown of every other more significant threat to their life.

the likely result is for them to order a few gallons of epoxy resin to fill their bathtub with and a feeding tube.
