Your biggest buzz watching West Ham...
Following a few other threads along the same lines, be good to read about a few of the great moments we've experienced...

For me personally, I was born in the early 80s and my first year as a season ticket holder was as a 8yr old in the 1990/91 season. So not as many highs as previous generations!

My top 3 in no specific order:

- Man Utd away 0-1 Di Canio FA Cup 2001
- Man City away 1-2 Ashton FA Cup 2006
- Everton home 2-1 both Foster & Slaters goals FA Cup 1991

Those probably my top three, with loads of others I've prob forgotten.

A few notable mentions:

- Ravel Morrisons goal at Spurs to put us 3 up
- Reid's winner in the last game at Upton Park
- Keller at White Hart Lane 0-2?
- Steve Jones 2nd goal at Spurs in the 1-4 win
- Kenny Brown goal in the 'obscene' win v Man Utd
- various moments of the Curbs great escape
- I have a few early memories: Mike Small scoring the winner again Spurs to make it 2-1 I think, and also Mike Small scoring at Highbury in a 1-0 win, I was only 9 but I seem to remember no one celebrating for a few seconds as it looked like it went wide or side netting?

Re: Your biggest buzz watching West Ham...
Oddly one of my highest highs and lowest lows were during the same game. The FA Cup quarter final at home to Arsenal in I think 97-98. They won the double that year but we took them to a replay at Upton Park.

We played really well and were losing 1-0 until the last minute - Hartson then equalised and the crowd went nuts. We should have won in extra time but went out on penalties.

I was devastated after the high of the late equaliser. Think they knocked us out of the League Cup in the quarters as well that year. That was the start of 3/4 really good seasons under Redknapp - probably my favourite time watching us as I was a bit young for 85-86.

For me, it has to be the FA cup final v Fulham.

A whole day of build-up. It's a Knockout. Alf Garnett being interviewed on the pitch. Winning 2 - 0. Lifting the cup.

Cracking day.

CHL - it was pretty special behind the goal when Andy Carroll did his overhead vs Palace too!

Re: Your biggest buzz watching West Ham...
Gotta be Eintracht for me; right behind the goal in the South Bank. That surpasses even the two Cup Finals (Arsenal / Liverpool), although we did still have a fantastic time after Cardiff 2006 with an overnight at the Floating Harbour in Bristol.

If we are talking about a 'moment' that sums it all up, then for me it would have to be the Kenny Brown belter in an evening game v Villa (first one on the vid). We were right in line with it, only a few rows back from the goal... Slater laid it off for him, and he pushed it on, stepped into it, and we could see where it was going the moment it left his boot. Me and the bro were so close we heard it swish down the net, even though half the NB were already in the air before it landed!
Moments to treasure... hard to see the new place emulating anything like that, frankly.

Re: Your biggest buzz watching West Ham...
We have more than our fair share of 'moments', don't we?

Some that haven't been mentioned:

Coming back from 3-2 down against Coventry in the 1981 League Cup semi final 2nd leg
Beating Liverpool 4-1 in the LC when we were bottom of the League (Ince 2 goals)
Winning 3-2 at Old Trafford in 86/87 to go top of the league
Beating Bury 10-0
Newcastle 8-1 in 85/86
FA Cup semi final replay against Ipswich
Lots of great nights under the lights at the Boleyn, especially European games - Den Haag in 76, for example
Winning at Goodison with a Tim Breacker goal
Beating Man Utd 4-0 in the snow thanks to four assists from Victor Obinna!

Re: Your biggest buzz watching West Ham...
I went to that Millwall game on my own as was staying in Forest Hill SE London with a girl.

Not that far from the old den, mayhem in the streets getting there.

Can't say I remember too much else about it, though was in the height of acid house days.. Maybe a factor

Those 2 Millwall games, I can say that it was the only time going to football where I felt I might not get home in one piece. IIRC they were both winter games, so was dark coming out? Also saw getting to Whitechapel, off that East London line, was a bit of a haven and back on our manor.

I was buzzing as an 11 year old after this clash. I think we needed to win to guarantee safety?

ICF in action in the car park just outside the ground at kick off. We totally bossed the game but this game I remember was for the best rendition of Johnny Lyall's claret and blue army I had ever heard. Perfectly orchestrated! One side stopped to let the other chant, then the clapping stopped also, then everyone joined in. Used the back of the stand as a drum and even that stopped and started. This went on for 90 minutes!
Fucking Andre Previn must have been in charge of proceedings that day.

Re: Your biggest buzz watching West Ham...
Going to my first match as a kid and after lining up from 8.am and getting front row level with the post at the South bank end a corner is given against us inside 5 minutes - the man himself slowly walks over to my post puts his hands on it and starts shouting out who to mark at his team mates

From shoot magazines pictures on my bedroom wall of him to being him over the park he was a was just couple of yards away from me for real life.

Martin Allen's goal against Wimbledon I'm sure the foundations of the old ground moved went that went in.

That Millwall game was lunacy. I went straight to my ol mans placevin Greenwich after the match, just glad i had no West Ham related tattoos at the time.

And yet there are still those who say this lot arn't our biggest rivals.

I was there and ironically it sticks in my mind as being an incredibly dull game. The mate I went with said "that's the most boring 4-0 we'll ever see" as we left the ground. Still, who wouldn't want a season where four goal wins are regulation?
