Zuckerburg now worth over $100 billion
Not bad for a GEEK who created a bullshit website while dicking about in his spare time at uni.

Unbelievable that one man is worth that amount of money!

The bloke that owns amazon actually only owns about 11%, the rest is all investor types.

Same goes for Mark. Bono owns a fair few FB shares.

Amazon were at least clever about it and the firms that got dicked probably should have seen it coming and allowed it to happen.

Just watched the Men who Built America mini series on Amazon - ironic:

Amazon = Ruthless capitalists that paid subsistence wages for 6 day a week 12 hours a day labour and squashed the competition by all means available.

Just watched the Men who Built America mini series on Amazon , all about the great industrialists of the 19th century America. By today’s standards John D Rockefeller was worth 400 billion dollars from the oil industry ... totally self made. JP Morgan and Andrew Carnegie ( steel ) not far behind. Staggering wealth by today’s value. But ruthless capitalists that paid subsistence wages for 6 day a week 12 hours a day labour and squashed the competition by all means available.

I think Facebook make more for each $1 spent than any other company. Something like 35 cents I believe.

There will be a lot of people posting their disgust about this on Facebook over the next few days. Then they will buy a Che Guevara T shirt after targeted advertising suggests it to them a few days later.

Re: Zuckerburg now worth over $100 billion
If you listen to Zuckerburg when he’s testifying and the like you get the impression that he’s anything but a genius. In fact this whole thing has taken off and he’s clinging on like he’s on some crazy rollercoaster ride.

He had an idea at the ideal time for the idea. It took off. He hired some people. They hired more people, lawyers, tax avoidance experts, people who understand how to influence users and whoosh it all takes off. They were the people who created the value. They were the ones who turned into into this tax efficient advertising behemoth that it is from his idea. In today’s world its the guy at the top who makes the big bucks.
I expect they let him go to meetings, but I also expect that he just says ‘yes’ from time to time.

The people who work for him probably understand the chaos that they and major social media are creating, but they don’t care as long as the salary and bonuses keep rolling in. As for Mark he just stares and wonders why he’s told that haircut suits him.

An already over-privileged geek. Personally, I'd have him hanged for Facebook, but if dozy saps are happy to have their personal details shared by all and sundry that's there problem.
