Klopp and Pep must be shitting their pants when they see West Ham coming up on the fixture list and prepare for a tactical battle with Moyes. As if having to go up against the talents of Cresswell , Noble , Fornals etc isn’t difficult enough it must put the fear of God into opponents when they examine the stellar achievements of the WH manager and coaching staff. Moyes ... Man Utd (sacked) , Real Sociedad (sacked ) Sunderland (sacked/relegated). Irvine - Preston , Sheffield Wednesday, WBA ...all sacked. Pearce - Man City , Forest...sacked. Nolan ...Orient , Notts County...sacked. At least they might have a sense of togetherness through shared experience but all of them are failures in management and barely lasted 5 minutes in their previous roles before being booted. At least Pearce and Nolan were decent players although both would be dinosaurs in the modern game where passing and movement rather than hoof ball tactics are needed. What a shame GSB went and paid £10m pa for the Chilean pensioner rather than Bielsa a couple of years ago.

What do you mean Surface, by 'you know nothing about'? It's a fact he came back and took the job after being 'let go' for someone else the first time round. I interpret that as coming crawling back, like I'm sure many people would.

The man has zero pride.

Exactly. So, ignoring all the 'came crawling back thing', which you know nothing about, not sacked at all.

Surface, ok - well he wasn't offered a new contract once his fixed term contract was up, as his employers didn't want to provide him with a new contract and they employed someone else.

If the owners had wanted to retain his services at the time, then they would have offered him a new contract which it is obvious he would have taken (considering he came crawling back less than two years later). They didn't.

COYI

He wasn't 'not retained'. That's a player registration thing. His fixed-term contract was up. Job done. It's a million miles from being sacked, as any contractor will tell you.

COYI - but if i can be pedantic, isn't that the way it world with all managers now?

Stay, hang around and wait for the payoff before walking into another role.

If you want to be really pedantic - Moyes's sacking/own decision to leave ratio is probably higher than Mourinhios

Pedantic much SurfaceAgentX2Zreo?

He wasn't retained by West Ham in his first spell. That is tantamount to being sacked as, if the owners had wanted to retain him then, he would have obviously stayed.

We was sacked by Man Utd and Real Sociedad and at Sunderland he 'resigned' before he was sacked after finishing ROCK BOTTOM with them.

You have to go back to 2013 when he left Everton for him to have left a job voluntarily to go to another job.

.d people up with my lack of vision and impotence in the face of the owners.

Re: That’s what I do , I win
Indeed. Just taking issue with the 'saked from his last 4 jobs' thing. In fact, he's had 7 management posts and been sacked from 3 of them. Quite a good ratio, I would have thought.

I actually feel sorry for Moyes. Wasn't he who said i want to build a squad of young and hungry players (or words to that effect) and they sell Diangana..

He wasn't sacked here either

BigLump 1:38 Mon Sep 14
Re: That’s what I do , I win
I'm not sure what the ratio is, but would guess that managers leaving jobs as a sacking is pretty high - possibly 85+%?

That doesn't say much but you also neglect to mention he didn't get sacked from Everton or Preston before that.

That doesnt make him a tactical genius - far from it, but highlighting his last four jobs ending with the boot doesnt really tell the story.

Its easy to pick on Moyes right now - the focus should be on removing the bigger problems

In his current spell he has officially the worst win percentage of any manager in the club's history.

What a winner the dour, lapdog, dinosaur, loser jock cunt is!
