Team for Hull
|
If their performance against Leeds was anything to go by, Hull should be a bit more of a test than Charlton, though anything less than a convincing win will be a disappointment. Once again it will be an opportunity for a number of players to stake a claim for a place in the PL starting lineup, which nobody took last week, at least according to the manager. As for the formation, gawd knows, but probably the usual 4-2-3-1 or whatever. Would like to see Cardoso given a chance. Expect Noble to be back for this one, partly as an excuse not to pick him for the Wolves game.
Randolph Johnson Balbuena Cardoso Masuaku Noble Cullen Yarmolenko Lanzini Anderson Haller

Is Ajese fit? thats the lad who did well against Wycombe?
Im not sure Cardoso is any good.....couldnt get a start for U23 last week.
Think Arthur LB for mins and then Longelo and Odupeko off the bench

Emmanuel Longelo is the left back for the U23's. Decent prospect by all accounts.

I'm interested to see how Lanzini gets on.
In the very few games he's played in this season (incl. preseason), it looks like he's playing himself back into form.

I agree Sniper. However, I’d like to see the U23s left back playing. Anyone having any idea who that is? Also Cardosa instead of Diop.

Same Team as Charlton
It would just be nice to see young players getting 20-25 minutes at then end instead of 5 minutes. Costa and Coventry for example

Forgot about Snodgrass. He'll probably take Noble's place in my lineup.

Hopefully he plays the players that have given us our only win this season again.

Same as for Charlton. Seems that we have a specialist cup team now.

Nothing to do with his ability. But I don’t think we should have a woman beater representing our club.

DL - I just don't get why some have it in for Randolph, especially for a League Cup game against a side from League 1. He's nowhere near as bad as you think.

Wouldn’t have Randolph anywhere near the team.
