He is my favourite ever Hammer. Was a beautiful footballer, like watching an ice skater on the pitch. Hoping he has many more birthdays to come still.

My favourite all-time hammer and footballer. Comes across as a very decent human being, which are rare as hens teeth.
Loved the way he just sat there when all the coin's were flying over at the two bobs who scarpered and Sir Trev just carried on watching.

Dev is my favourite all time hammer.. but with sir Trev pulling the strings.. he excelled. they were both special players.

My favourite ever player.
Who remembers when he hit the bar with a shimmy and long shot in the first half against Anderlecht - his speed of thought and execution meant the camera was still trained on his feet as the ball cannoned back off the bar.
Shame Revie didn’t rate him, those were his peak years - not that England qualified for anything!

Happy Birthday Hadleigh (as they used to call him!). Was honoured to have been at his last game and typical West Ham they got beat to Everton, so nothing ever changes!!

A true West Ham silverware winning legend. Couldn't wait to get to the ground to watch him year in year out. Sublime skill and exactly what the club was and should still be about. We are lucky to still have him and Billy associated with the club.

Yes he did play for Havering Nalgo see him over at St George's park shenfield once scoring a couple .
