Don't wish death on anyone, however I never found cannon and ball (nor little and large) vaguely funny

I'm with zeb - I appreciated his work in Not Going Out.
But Cannon and Ball were as funny as a sermon. Which is ironic.
Condolences to his lot.

I’m stunned how old he was when he died. I thought he must have been in his 90s.
I also thought he must have been dead already.
He looked like a 3 fry-up-a-day man.

I saw him and his stage partner 'die' on stage many years ago.
They were performing at one of the dinner shows in Orlando and unfortunately for them, a massive proportion of the audience were Brits of the wrong demographic on a company conference on an organised evening out.
We were definitely not their typical audience who had paid for tickets and wanted to be there. To be fair they soldiered on professionally despite the groaning coming from the audience.

It always seems to be the better half that dies first in a double act, Bobby Ball. Eric Morecombe, Ronnie Barker , Orville
