Divorce advice please
Got married summer 2019 and have made a big mistake. She flies off the handle, chucks things etc all the time and worse and is basically crazy.

House is in my name and purchased 8 months before we were married. We have a joint account for bills etc but I pay the mortgage myself from my own bank account.

She is now down as my wife on my pension which obviously I need to change sharpish.

Got maybe £170k paid off on the house I paid £250k for - we have no kids and it shouldn’t get too messy but I don’t want her getting any of it as she has her own flat anyway from before we were married. She doesn’t have much equity in hers though.

Anyone have any advice - how do I do a quick divorce and what are the likely fees? Is my best bet to transfer the house to my parents name ASAP or do you need to have the whole mortgage paid off to be able to do that??

Sadly I can’t be the only one on here ever in this boat so in please bestow me your wise advise lads... Cheers.

Really... You come on here of all fucking places to seek advice on a divorce. Have you actually read ANY of the attempted serious question threads? Go a see a solicitor and good luck. You're about to get arse raped and it won't be an enjoyable ride, but if you seek 'good' legal council then you may just have a life post the divorce worth living.

For a lot of sad bitter men....it goes.....

"My girlfriend has a everything goes policy in bed"

Swap the 'in the ring' to 'wearing a ring' and it quickly becomes...

My wife has a everything stops policy in bed.....

......except for the karate instructor.

Seriously, what sort of pillock marries a bird after 1 year together?

Fucking asking for trouble. You have to search high and low for one that ain't mental, and even then, you give it 3 years minimum.

Roby

If she's nuts now she will NOT change in the long term. It won't happen. We men like to be knights in shining armour and thinking we can somehow help the mental Mrs become less mental. No fucking chance of that.

So either put up with it or get divorced now before kids. I speak from bitter experience and that of many others. Entirely my own fault for not walking away many many years before I did.

But the mental ones are the best in bed so swings and roundabouts eh.

Been there. Done that. Love is blind. Women are mental. Men are stupid.

Re: Divorce advice please
I have no experience of divorce as i'm happily married for 26 years

How long had you known this girl before marriage ?

My nephew was with his ex for 7 years and during that time had lots of problems as basically she was a control freak and he liked a gamble and a booze. Totally different backgrounds, and i suggested to him that marriage may not be the best thing to do. Anyway, they married ( despite the writing being on the wall for years) and lasted 10 months.

A pal of mine has just had his marriage annulled after meeting and marrying a loony in the space of 3 months. Clearly an absolute nut job but couldn't resist getting married

Surely you knew what she was like before you married her?
