I understand the resentment towards Pellegrino. He fucked us royally, spent a fortune on dross and has lumbered us with it.
Of course, negligent ownership facilitated his rank ineptitude.

He was a bit shit for us, and no doubt severely hurt by key injuries (that he should have accounted for and strengthened the squad). However I bear him no ill will

bit weird the obsession some have with MP, he didn’t work out at West Ham that’s fair enough
So move on?
And btw he’s spent a grand total of nothing of transfers at betis

I cannot profess to have detailed knowledge of Manny Ps managerial career although I think he made his name with a number of lesser ( less money ) teams in South America but really got recognition at VillaReal who he got punching above their weight which led to his appointment at Real Madrid.
He did ok there but pipped by Barcelona so as they always do , he was sacked. Then he did well at Malaga which got him the gig at City. A team full of expensive imports that he did pretty well with despite the obvious advantages
Then China... in his mid 60s but by now 6 years after his spell at a lesser team. He arrives at West Ham and working under the restrictions of GSB and second season fails miserably.
At Real Betis he is arguably at a club like West Ham again , outside the rich elite. If he fails there its 3 positions in succession. He seemed very laid back, relaxed with his methods and with us it seemed to be reflected on the pitch. He seemed to think it was largely about attitude or psychology of thinking like a "big team". The basics of fitness, hard work, pressing etc... he seemed to think weren't as important and you just had to keep the ball with good technical players?
The game moved on and the need for fitness, physicality etc... is now paramount. Manny did not see it and hence is in his last job IMHO. Yesterday's man.

He started well but basically the entire team was built around the talents of Sergio Canales who is the main playmaker but he has had an unfortunate injury plagued career.
He's done his achilles until the new year and since then they have dropped like a stone...
Sounds familiar...

Real Betis are 3 points off 6th place. Only 5 teams have won more games than they have. They've already played against Barcelona, Real & Atletico Madrid and the current league leaders. Personally I don't give a toss one way or the other but all this gloating seems a bit premature.

Goals for 12 Goals Against 23
Lost 4-0 to a Bilbao side who couldn't score a goal and now 0-2 at home to Eibar.

15th in the league, 2 points above the relegation zone.
Yet you’d still have him here over Moyes.
Maybe you’re the retarded one?

I respected the Plan A.
But the lack of Plan B or too much pride to try one or admit his players were not good enough and the lack of fitness were inexcusable.
Roberto sapped any confidence from the back line at least, maybe the team, going from Oxford on.
Seemed a classy guy which we can use in this organization but not what we needed.

I don’t claim to be an expert on identifying new signings that will be successful for us but anyone apart from Pellegrini would of known Carlos Sanchez was an awful signing.
Also he actually wanted to sign Roberto a year before we did as our FIRST CHOICE goalkeeper before we signed Fabianski but he wasn’t available at that time.
Those 2 signings alone deserve the sack.

Lads you are being too harsh on Manny "Worzel" Pellegrini.
He had a strategy. A very sophisticated, complex plan.... "we need to play like a big team". Yep that was it.
And to be fair, the lack of fitness and lapse training regime was beginning to deliver on his strategy. The amount of timber some of our lads were putting on was impressive. The big team was developing but never allowed to come to full term.

People seem to be ignoring the fact that Roberto was signed by Pellegrini.
So either way the old cunt’s at fault.
