Team for Liverpool.
Good times to be West Ham at the moment - strange times too. It takes some getting used to, approaching a game against Liverpool with such a sense of confidence, a near certainty that even if we don't beat them, there's no way we're going to let them walk all over us.

We also have the luxury of a settled first team, a team that is working hard for each other, getting better and better. Somebody pinch me.

Unchanged side - I doubt there'll be much disagreement with this:

Fabianski
Coufal Dawson Ogbonna Cresswell
Bowen Rice Soucek Fornals
Benrahma
Antonio

Subs: Randolph/Martin, Fredericks, Johnson, Balbuena, Diop, Noble, Lanzini, Yarmolenko, Odubeko.

We’ve not had any red cards yet... can see us taking the lead and then going down to 10 men. Either that or a dodgy penalty.... you just know we will be robbed somehow.

Love seeing the confidence from my fellow Hammers.

I am up for this more than I have been in years. Feels like a pivotal game for the season. Win and the upper echelons of the league in this weird year don’t seem so out of reach.

I have a feeling that we will win today...I felt it in my water

The thought of Antonio bullying their depleted centre backs makes me happy.

I have a nagging feeling Fabinho could actually be fit for this. Just words from Klopp that he will only make the City game. I wouldn't be suprised that with the way we are palying he'll want to suprise Moyes.

Gather Moss is the ref which is a pity but guess he is marginally better than Dean, and a world better than Oliver! No need to change the line up that started against Palace, they were excellent just need Antonio to get his goal touch back.

I can never see past a Liverpool win.

Mainly because you know they will always be handed a dodgy offside goal or penalty.

I fucking hate Klopp.

Can’t disagree with that Exile. The work rate of Benrahma and Fornals is phenomenal. They never stop chasing. I don’t care if neither of them score they will never let the bin dippers settle.

)1- 2 curtesy of two very dodgy ref/VAR decisions

When you compare their team and ours, we definitely look short of fire power in open play. Our best chance comes at corners and free kicks when we are strong in the air.

"Start out the same as we did against Palace. For the first time in ages I'm not dreading facing these cunts, should beca more than decent game"

Well not exactly,we don't want to go 1-0 down after 3 mins.

Romfordboy if we win by 1-0 by a penalty you can call it what you like. I'd be honoured

Sir Alf, I know it’s habit for you and we are kind of opposites, but no way we will get a heavy defeat. Liverpool are just not doing that these days and we are playing well defense and attack.
Just not going to happen.
Take a break sit back, be positive and enjoy the way we’re playing.

Keep the team exactly the same . worst thing for us is too try and defend . When the Mickey's are injury ravaged at centre half . Just hope iron mike has his shooting boots on.

We have as much chance of getting a penalty against the scouse cunts as i have of seeing the Easter Bunny

Lets hope they've had shooting practice in training. If we create as many chances against Liverpool as we did against Palace we could get lucky. Same team as Palace for me.

This site is funny. There are people on here discussing who'd take a penalty for us.....only one team in this game that will het the decisions go their way......clue its not us.

Re: Team for Liverpool.
Lingard will get 10 - 15 mins max IMO, assuming he comes on ( e.g. should things go well and we are defending a slender lead Moyes would likely try to shut up shop with defensive types coming on?). No way is he or should he start.

Sadly, we might see him for longer if things do not go well at all and we find ourselves on the wrong end of a heavier defeat but hopefully that will not be the case as this season we have given every team a tough game aside from the Newcastle opener.

It is going to be a real challenge though. Pool going forward are so strong and we have to try and disrupt them in midfield or risk being pulled apart. Worse case would be a defeat but at least giving them a scare. I think most of us would take a draw and a win would be the cherry on the top of what has been an outstanding season so far.
