EVERTON vs NEWCASTLE UNITED (1230 ko)
Little is going right for Newcastle and today’s visit to Goodison will be another mountain too high. Everton to climb above us, at least for 24 hours. Home win.

CRYSTAL PALACE vs WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS (1500)
Two sides in the doldrums. Hodgson will want to get his team back to winning ways, or at least to keep a clean sheet. Likewise for Wolves, which could mean a tedious no-score stalemate. Draw.

MANCHESTER CITY vs SHEFFIELD UNITED (1500)
The visitors will be full of confidence after their last visit to Manchester. But league leaders City are, as the all but doomed Blades are about to find out, a different proposition altogether. They’re on form and have the wind firmly in their sails. Home win.

WEST BROMWICH ALBION vs FULHAM (1500)
A real six-pointer – and more if logic allowed it. Or, by the end of the season, it could all be meaningless, with both teams currently odds-on for the drop. For the Baggies, this is the first of two huge games that could see them edging towards safety. Neither BFS nor Parker will be under any illusions about the importance of this game. Form suggests a draw, but instinct tends towards BFS. One thing’s for sure – this will be one heck of a battle. Home win.

ARSENAL vs MANCHESTER UNITED (1730)
Have Arsenal’s fortunes finally turned in their favour? Man U are yet to lose away this season, although they did conspire to generously donate all points to visiting Sheffield Utd last time out. Yet they sit in second place. Bruno Fernandes makes them tick, so if the hosts can keep him quiet they have every chance of emerging victorious. Draw.

SOUTHAMPTON vs ASTON VILLA (2000)
Goal difference is all that separates these two, but you feel the Saints are better equipped to grab all three points. Home win.

SUNDAY

CHELSEA vs BURNLEY (1200)
Sean Dyche will look to replicate his side’s performance at Anfield last week and give Herr Tuchel a touch of the Premier League blues. But new manager syndrome and the fact that Burnley are boring and generally shit will count above all else. Home win.

LEICESTER CITY vs LEEDS UNITED (1400)
Leeds’ target for the season has to be survival first and foremost. That’s looking good for them so far. Leicester are likely to be too wily for them today. Home win.

WEST HAM UNITED vs LIVERPOOL (1630)
Well now. Who’d have thought that most West Ham fans of reasonable mind will be expecting a point or more from this? Yes, expecting. Not just hoping for. Victory would take us above the visitors and back into fourth spot. But lest we get too carried away, Liverpool will also be looking for all three points and, despite some injury concerns, will be favourites. A massive test for sure, but one that we’re capable of meeting. Draw.

BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR (1915)
Poor old Spurs. A slide down the table and another slide that has taken Harry Kane out of this and coming fixtures. You just have to feel pity. Can the Seagulls take advantage of the visitors’ misfortune and boost their survival chances? Let’s hope so. Home win.

MIDWEEK – TUESDAY

SHEFFIELD UNITED vs WEST BROMWICH ALBION (1800) Massive. Home win.
WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS vs ARSENAL (1800) Away win.
MANCHESTER UNITED vs SOUTHAMPTON (2015) Home win.
NEWCASTLE UNITED vs CRYSTAL PALACE (2015) Draw.

MIDWEEK – WEDNESDAY

BURNLEY vs MANCHESTER CITY (1800) Away win.
FULHAM vs LEICESTER CITY (1800) Away win.
LEEDS UNITED vs EVERTON (2015) Home win.
ASTON VILLA vs WEST HAM UNITED (2015) Little confidence, but... Away win.
LIVERPOOL vs BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION (2015) Lawro. Home win.

MIDWEEK – THURSDAY

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs CHELSEA (2000) Hmm. Draw.

Eriksen was who made them tick. Everyone in the media wanked off about Alli and a few others but he was the man for them, and made the rest look good.

If they lose Kane, it'll be hilarious, trouble is he seems loyal enough to stupidly stick around there for years and probably waste his only chance to get significant trophies.

All action been in our half. It's going to be embarrassing this season with West Ham above us.

Remind me again, who's Cup Final is it?

Saw this in the comments on the Beeb site :
"Since his previously faithful assistant Rui Feria walked out on him at ManU it has been obvious that all along Mourinho has had little tactical nous and Rui has been the Man Behind the Throne."

Did not know about this bloke. Was he with him since day one? If so, maybe some truth in it?

Bale is another ego thing for the special cunt

Look at me, look at me, I’m mugging Deli Ali off and replacing him with Bale

Great to see it’s going tits up.

Re: Saturday++ football
I think losing that Champions League final knocked the stuffing out of them.
Should have been the point where they added a couple more to be title contenders but think Pochettino got frustrated by that.

I like Tottenham, well I do at the moment I genuinely look forward to watching them, great entertainment.

They took 25 points from the last 24 games under 'Poch'. They've been quite shit for a good while now

Re: Saturday++ football
As mentioned before they were flying at the start of the season ... 5 at Southampton, 6 at Man U ... with all the talk of Kane & Son being the greatest pair in the history of football
3-0 up against us & Bale coming on to join the fun .... ooops

Watched them against Liverpool & Brighton & the first half last night & the balloon has been well & truly PRICKED.
Without Kane they are just turgid, Son looks frustrated & Bale invisible
Usually with Mourinho once the initial bloom goes the decline goes quickly & it all ends in tears.
Not sure Son has signed that new contract & Kane really has to be considering his future. Or does he want to wait to see if the next manager can win something. Again

Re: Saturday++ football
'Every cunt we've gone 1-0 (or more) up against has stormed back and equalised...
why can't WE take a note out of their book?
Every time we go 0-1 down, our heads drop, and we look defeated.
THAT'S NOT ACCEPTABLE!

Newcastle did it...
Palace did it...
West Ham did it (3 fucking times!)
Wolves did it
Fulham did it...

every cunt EXCEPT us seems to come back... we go 1-0 down against teams, and we're already beaten...
and even when we DID come back up at Anfield... we still switched off and conceded in the 91st minute like we were contractually obliged to up there!

FUCKING SICK OF WHAT JOSE FUCKING MOURIHO HAS TURNED OUR CLUB INTO!
fucking fraud dinosaur Chelsea cunt!'

Re: Saturday++ football
Spurs have been so superior to us for a long time that I'd forgotten just how wanky their fans are when it's not going for them and we're doing better.

They are absolutely devastated with what's going on, just a shame it won't last.

Grumpster 9:06 Fri Feb 5
Re: Saturday++ football
Their fans hounded out Poch a few months after he had taken them to the CL final, so fuck em.

Be careful what you boo for.

Re: Saturday++ football
I'm LOVING this Tottenham collapse. To be fair, most of their fans they didn't want Jose, and they are probably right. Will be hard for him to turn it around now and finish top 4 which is the minimum he needs. I can't see him being sacked anytime soon, but I didn't think Chelsea would sack fatty so soon.

As for Bale, if a fella who went home at HT the other week starts ahead of you, then the writing is firmly on the wall.

It’s been 35 years since we could sing “There’s only one team in London,” but it could be sung right now.

Pride of London at the start of this year, and long may it be so.

If Dier can play for England then there is hope yet for Dawson.
