The mum of that 22 year old lad murdered on the weekend
Jasna Badzak is her name. She's behaving in a very strange manner to me. All over the press and twitter highlighting her connections to the Tory elite. It seems she's using her son's murder as a PR exercise! She also seems to have an ongoing feud with UKIP according to her Twitter history.

I couldn't imagine jumping all over twitter if my child had just been murdered. Very bizarre behaviour, but I guess it encapsulates the social media/PR crazy modern world.

RIP to the young man, by the way. Seemingly a horrendous murder of an innocent victim.

She had been a Tory activist and had helped in campaigns (with the boy) and was using the connection with Boris (+ Cameron & Osbourne) to ask for help. On the basis that she had helped them.
I wouldnt criticise her for making desperate pleas

From the background and what was written about the kid it doesnt seem the classic 'loved his mother/was a good boy really' story when gangs clash.
Was just in the wrong place at the wrong time when he had a 'dispute' with some 'youths'.
Believe they lived in Maida Vale so surprised he would willingly be on Kilburn High Road

That’s how these kids fight. Theyll attack in numbers and hunt the kid down and all stab them up. Then his mates will do the same to one of them and the cycle of death continues

Do you think she wants to get on Love Island or something?

Looks like her beef is with the Met, whose press releases are making it look like her son was engaged in a gang confrontation (in her view).

Bad enough that her son was killed but her view is that he was an innocent victim hunted down and butchered, not a participant in a fight as the Met are saying.

I don't know the truth of it, but nobody could come to grips with the mind of a mother who has just been through that.

Dreadful situation, but it does kinda feel like she is trying to push her family's pedigree in case some of her snobby mates try to distance themselves... Maybe. She will likely find that will happen anyway... a lot of folk just don't know how to face you, or what to say, when you lose someone like that. It exposes the fragility that we all turn a blind eye to normally.

Anyone losing a kid in this way has my fullest sympathy. Can't begin to imagine the horror they'd be going through no matter what their social connections.

Why is it when calling them.social connections do i feel like i am making some reference to Jane Austen?

I assumed the reason she was alluding to her family's social connections is because she doesn't want people to jump to conclusions that her son was affiliated to a gang or was some other sort of scumbag. Poor lady.

I don’t know how I’d react if my kid was killed just like you have no idea how you would if yours was.

The reason we have no idea is that it thankfully hasn’t happened.

One thing I do know is, and that is how I’ll react if this woman’s kid gets killed. And It’ll be by realising I don’t know a fraction of the facts or what she is going through so I’ll not judge her.
