Nobody said Chas was dead. The least you should do is read what is posted thoroughly before posting, especially on a thread as poignant as this.

Anyway, all my best wishes to Romford. Have had many a discussion with him on Kumb over the years.

Not really sure what Manuel has said wrong there you oddball.

Fingers crossed for Chas, he's a great lad and many have outlived the time period given to them, so keep fighting big fella.

A nother doctors told chass wife he could make xmas. i hope its xmas 2051. the family are all finding this time very hard at the moment, i wish i was nearer to them so i could help more.No football, dennis going, and now chas ill, have taken its toll on me.

Chas went to the hospital this afternoon, was told he has around 12 weeks,this terrible news will rock the big man, but we are all behind him, and will help in his fight.

Chas was not well last week,he had to go to a and e twice .i think it hit him whats instore, will visit him on sunday with alex sorenson whos been a rock for dennis and chas.

Alex sorenson and myself went round to see chas on saturday. He was upbeat, but his family are very worried, he said thanks to every one whos put in the hat, the flowers who sent are still good,and his mrs said thank you to you all

Seriously, if anything its a nice story that stuck in my head about a guy living long after a diagnosis of terminal lung cancer.

There's always hope. 12 years ago John Hartson had testicular cancer that spread to his brain and lungs.
At one time he was given about 15 minutes to live. He's looking pretty healthy now.

Sad news but there is a positive side. I was watching Celebrity Great British Bake Off last night for cancer awareness. On the show a man with a young family ( 2 children under 5 years) told his story. He had liver cancer and was told it was terminal. This was in 2012. He is still alive today.

Terminal does not always mean a week, or a month but it can be longer. Lets hope Chas is with us much longer than folks fear.

This is what gets me about our club , on the main site there’s a thing about any old irons, 80 cup final , since then we’ve only had a measerly appearance in 06, most of the people l went with that day are sadly gone , l don’t know chas , l didn’t know Dennis, l knew bimbo and a lot of the others but my point is ,what these fantastic fans would have give to have a real proper go at the fa cup , I’m sure the people who take over our club have no idea what it means to fans like this !
