Framed shirt sale for Chrissy ...
|
I just wanted to do this separate from the thread above. Darby (who i won't name in case they don't want me to) bid £400 for the shirt. Once the bidding was over, Darby put $1000 into Chrissys GoFundMe. Way way in excess of the bid, by anybodys calculation. I had to package and send send the shirt (which is on its way). I offered to chip in with the postage but Darby paid it all. In a world of woe at times, I think gestures like this should be made known. It was a very generous and genuine thing to do. It will definitely help make a difference. Thank you very much.
PS - WHO mods allowing, I will be on here with another genuine quality item within a week or so. The fundraising continues. The fundraising is helping but there is more I/we can do, so we shall do our very best.
West Ham family, as someone rightly says.

Well done Darby.
WHO Hall of Fame.
(I wonder if the next item could be put up like a raffle with £20 a ticket or something? Might raise more?)
