You have a good point and I did think the same when I heard that there was no alcohol in the stadium.... hmmm

Which pubs will you be heading for?

I didn't put it down to luck. Try re-reading. Luck is involved, of course - it has to be when more people want tickets than there are tickets.

My default position is to explain, which is all I did - and as I said, I was guesssing - not one word of defence in there. It didn't work well and should have been better - I can't see them being able to get Ticketmaster to rejig their systems for a handful of tickets, but again that's a guess.

Don't know anyone that works in the TO any more - I just try to be sensible about it.

Re: West Ham United v Southampton Tickets
The bars in the ground are shut, so I'd assume the ones outside are too - I'm not sure how many people will be about. We'll be running to the pub.

Re: West Ham United v Southampton Tickets
I don’t have tickets but going to a pub near the Ground.

I was thinking of heading to the ground after the game, if all goes well, hoping there is a bit of a party atmosphere.

Anyone thinking of doing the same? Any concerns?

Absolutely Vexed. Hot every shirt from the current squad except Lingard. Fingers crossed for Sunday although not happy with 9,998 people to compete with.

well done to those who got them

You must be liking the reduced crowds Huffers, fewer children to trample over and fight with to desperately get at shirts etc that may get thrown to the aforementioned children.

Ball, because it's your default position, and I believe you know someone that that works in the ticket office but don't just listen to me, as others on this thread have had problems which has fuck all to do with luck

Can you not read? Find me a single word where I've defended them.

Re: West Ham United v Southampton Tickets
I have a single eligible client reference. I was unable to buy numerous seats that were still available because they were in a pod. It was nothing to do with luck, It was the way the system was inherently unfair. I logged on and under a fair system such as first come come served I would have been able to buy a ticket. As it was, someone who logged in long after me but in a ticket group of 2 could have bought tickets ahead of me. There will be many people at the game on Sunday who did nothing in order to obtain a ticket. They did not get a ticket in the ballot but because someone else in their group was lucky in the ballot they get a ticket and likewise today. They could be in a pub getting pissed all day and still end up with a ticket because someone else in their group was able to buy them a ticket ahead of people who had already logged in

Got sent them yesterday to the email address used when buying the ticket. Also got sent a link to them to the mobile no. I gave them.

Plenty seats were available, but just clicking on them brought up an error message saying "please refresh the page"

Christ you will say anything to defend this absolute shit show

Re: West Ham United v Southampton Tickets
Cough - how can luck not come into it? If 1000 people want 500 tickets, you need luck on your side. The same as absolutely any other over-subscribed event ever.

Oioi, all remaining Southampton tickets are now sold out. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to welcoming you to London Stadium soon.

Just received this message from supporter services:

Hi, thanks for your message. Under current government guidance, we are unable to sell alcohol in the general admission areas. Thanks, Lee

Re: West Ham United v Southampton Tickets
Luck shouldn't come into it, at least if it was a professionally run ticketing website

Rude? Hahahaha
